I have a home iin San Diego and in New York. I rent the San Diego home so I have to stay in a hotel when I'm here. The Crowne used to be musch better than it is now. Don't know if I'll continue to stay here. more

My stay at the Crowne Plaza was a mixed expierence. The ladies at the front desk as well as the waiters and bartenders throughout the property were very nice and helpful. The food was pretty good in the resturant, and the sushi bar was wonderful! We called down to the front desk for a few item and they were quickly brought to our room. more

The Crown Plaza Hotel in San Diego was actually quite nice. The rooms were well kept and the staff seemed to be very friendly. We would probably go back there if in the area again. more

Great hotel in San Diego 8/5/2005

Built in 1966, this Polynesian Hotel sits right next to the 8 freeway. Tons o Tiki to be found here, to many for me to count. Having 2 restaurants, Sushi Bar and a lounge. The Islands restaurant is located next to the lobby and is a Tiki haven. With Tiki's from the famous Outrigger and The Luau finding sanctuary here. A huge Moai serves as the lifeguard, sitting next to the swimming pool. Great location, literally minutes from the Zoo, Old Town, the beach, Shelter Island and Sea World. more

Spent my first two days in San Diego here. The room was clean, nice and large. The room had no view. :( However, I did have my faithful kitty with me. The staff was very helpful with taking care of her. The overall amenities were nice. I got an overall good package on deal via Priceline. PROS: Pet Friendly. Nice Rooms CONS: Parking was sparse more

My finacee and I stayed at the Red Lion hanalei Hotel and ordered the romance package. We were excited because the package included a free bottle of champagne (Moet was pictured on the website when I made my reservations)and free breakfast. When we got to the hotel, we were suprised to see a cheap bottle of bad tasting champagne. No where on the internet was there a disclaimer about the champagne being different than the one pictured. The breakfast was ok, but tasted very bland and could have used some work. The rooms were nice, but I have seen better. Customer service was ok, but not good or excellent. It seemed they provided the minimum to get by. For the price paid, I feel robbed. I would recommend them for a cheap room for a short stay, but if you are looking for a nice place, spend your money somewhere else. more

Very nice and Clean Hotel 2/16/2005

It is located in Hotel Circle which is conveient to everything in San Diego. Their rates are reasonable and their rooms are nice. I have stayed there 1 time and was very satisfied. Like all the Red Lion Inns, they are always dependable, offer ammenities and discounts with AAA and other ways. There are other Hotels that I rather stay in because when I go away I like to be a little more spoiled, but all in all it is top notch for the money PROS: Freeway close to everything, close to shopping mall, golf course and more... CONS: Rooms are nothing extrodinary more
