Crown Candy 3/27/2006

This little shop in St.Louis, MO is wonderful. You MUST try the BLT, I swear you get about 2lbs of bacon on your sandwhich. This place is famous for their candy and malts. The shop is very small and difficult to walk around in, however it is worth the wait if there is a line. I would recommend not going around Easter time because the line for the candy is often out the door and around the block. The staff is friendly and very outgoing. more

Crown Candy has been around forever! It is a fun, old-fashioned soda fountain. They have food, ice cream, and candy! Prices are very reasonable. Their milkshakes are enough to make you come back, and they also have great sandwiches and chili. This is a great place to take kids and visiting family for a treat. more

Yummy Ice Cream 8/2/2005

Crown Candy takes you back in time to the days of soda fountains!!! The restaurant is TINY......expect a wait during the lunch time hours, less than 30 seats available, BUT so worth the wait! The food is good and so cheap, but what really brings people in is the Ice Cream treats!!! They are so yummy and so rich and so inexpensive! You can't miss a visit to Crown Candy if you ever visit St. Louis, as a native you must visit!! A true treasure. Parking can be a problem also, bring change for the meters.....and be prepared to wait for seating...but don't pass up the milk shakes or the malts...to die for!! more
