A Real Church for Real People 3/2/2012

I have been a born-again Christian since 1976(who now calls myself a Christfollower because of the negativity the word "Christian" can bring to people -- the ones who openly judge others, the ones who say "hate the sin, love the sinner" yet show no love to the sinner at all -- and we are ALL sinners), the pew sitters who go to church out of obligation and not devotion, those who "do church" yet have never had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the ones that are two-issue voters (anti-abortion and gay marriage yet don't take into consideration any of the issues that concern the poor or sick or being what Jesus called peacemakers, not peaceKEEPERS; Matthew 5:9). Love my church! 12/11/2011

I absolutely love my church! I unfortunately moved two hours away so I no longer attend regularly but I do make the trip from Louisville to Cincinnati once every couple of months to visit this gem of a church. Some people don't seem to understand what Crossroads is meant to do. It is meant to bring nonbelievers close to God in a non hostile, laid back environment and it does just that. It seems that some people like very conservative churches in which you bring your bible and sing traditional music. That is fine but it is not the purpose of this church and I am glad it isn't. This church is a portal for reaching those who are not acquainted with God in a way in which they feel comfortable. I personally am Okay with any type of church that is able to reach this group since so few churches are able to. Being back in Louisville has really taught me that this church does such an excellent job at being accepting. Many churches around Louisville are very conservative and seem judgmental. These churches will have a hard time converting non believers. The sermons here are really meant for people who know little about Christ and may seem like they are "skimming the surface" to seasoned Christians. However, I owe my personal transformation to this church for making a non believer feel welcome and helping me to understand. Pros: null Cons: null more

It has more to offer than you may have heard... 6/13/2011

Originally, I thought it would be the last place I'd go to church, but something was nagging at me inside. I visited Crossroads 3 years ago, and I've never wanted to go anywhere else since. more

I love CrossRoads 3/7/2011

I, absolutely, love this church. It offers all of the apects of a wonderful chuch that I want. I love the facility, the message is always inspirational, it is community oriented, the members are warm, and all are welcomed. Regarding a previous review offered by someone who would like to see Brian alter his style, I disagree. Brian, don't change your style the rest of us LOVE it. What you offer is why I attend CrossRoads. more

Although I attend crossroads church, I'm not please with the way their main pastor- Brian Tom delivers his messages. He flip flops alot, does not stick to one point \r at a time. It is hard for me to follow his sermmons. I've been looking for a new church for about a month now. Why don't Chuck Mingo and the Baker girl get more time for sermons. The loud Music is just a mess!!!!! more

FREE INDEED!!! 11/6/2010

I love Crossroads. I wanted to be "FREE" to love and worship God in a way that wasn't binding, judgemental and most of all in a way that I didn't have to dress up. I love God, Jesus, jeans and flip flops and at Crossroads I can do them all at the same time! more

Changed my life 9/27/2009

I will give Joe M that the music is too loud, but probably the reason nobody had a bible with them is because unlike other churches Crossroads has a large screen that they display the scripture on and the give you a paper and pen to take notes on for when you get home, so there is really no need to bring your bible. I don't think that they just talk about life, I think that they do preach and talk about life to show you how scripture relates to your everyday life and they do say that you need to do more than just the Sunday services to develop your relationship with God. I don't think it is correct to say that it's not a church, everyone that is there is there to learn about God and the bible to determine if they want a relationship with Him or to learn how to grow their relationship with Him. It may not be what you're used to but its not supposed to be and that doesn't make it wrong. Whoever said cup holders were banned from church anyway? Obviously, I really like Crossroads and it ch more

Crossroads Church (Madison & Ridge Roads, Cincinnati) 2/26/2009

This has been the best church ever for me. I was a church cynic, but found love, truth, challenge and community here. Their mission is to connect seekers with growing Christ followers. Their method is to be culturally relevant, biblically based, real and honest, and to do so with excellence. The church is large, but they emphasize being in community with each other. When people decide to get involved, they quickly realize that it is a very warm and close knit family. The leaders "practice what they preach", yet are down to earth and practical. Crossroads is heavily involved in making a positive difference locally, nationally, and internationally with numerous outreaches. Everyone (YES, EVERYONE) is truly welcome! If you want to explore the possibilities of God for the first time, just want a place to meet people, or if you have been a believer all your life, there is a place for you at Crossroads. more

Not a Church 12/29/2008

Obnoxiously Loud Music that sounds just like the world, Cup holders, No preaching, just talking about life.\r \r No respect for the House of God, noone even had their Bible with them. No thanks. more

One of a Kind 4/16/2008

If your looking for a place to go to church but you have been burned by religion in the past, you would love Crossroads. It looks as much like a church as a car looks like a garage. Brian Tome does a great job of connecting with the audience in a way that is not demeaning, but rather friendly and interesting. The band is amazing! Also what's not to love about free coffee and pop? more

Good church 2/6/2008

This is a seeker friendly church that makes everyone feel welcome. The church building is very modern and the services are interesting. Thiy pastor keeps you interested in the message. This church is also involved in the community and look to help in any way it can. more

God-lite 12/2/2007

If you aren't looking for a place to lead you into a deeper relationship with God, if you just want to skim the surface then this place is for you. more
