Terrible customer service 12/28/2014

I am only giving two stars because the young lady who took care of me was sweet and smiled. Dreadful experience and I don't want to go back there, I will buy online instead. I was dressed casually and they were unbelievably snooty, I come from a high class background but they treated me and looked at me like I crawled out from under a rock. One assistant actually looked me up and down like he was assessing my right to even be in the store. I wasn't dressed like I was homeless either. Several assistants asked me if they could help and I was looking for something specific but I got the impression they thought I might steal something. Worst experience of my life outside of Parisian waiters. I intend to go back dressed up and dripping with jewelry.. Maybe then they will smile and treat me as anyone has a right to be treated in a store, with courtesy and civility. It will be a very interesting experiment. more

Mother's Day flowers 5/20/2013

Crimson Ridge delivered flowers to my mom. When I spoke to my mom the day after she said the flowers were wilted, faded colors, wrong vase, and carton it came in was dripping wet. I called Crimson and they said they would send another flower delivery to her that day. Spoke with my mom again, and once again they had sent wilted flowers. Maybe they thought that because I live out-of-state and my mom lives in a retirement home, they could get away with bad service. Never again will I use this place!! more

Lied 7/29/2012

My mom has purchased numerous handbags and purses at crimson ridge.....she recently bought a 200.00 plus purse the sales associate took the tags off and put it in a bag.....less than 30 days later having never used the purse she took it back she was told that they would need do talk to the owner and see if they could return it for her, the problem the tags had been removed even though they were in the purse that had never been used. They refused to give her a refund stating the tags had been removed when confronted with the fact that the sales associate had removed the tag I was told that's not company policy to remove the tags......no refund but would do store credit......stupid me bought a purse that day and really didn't pay attention but guess what was missing from the purse when I got home......THE TAGS! Beware from the owner to the sales associates they will look you in the face and openly easily and without hesitation lie to you. Dishonesty is no way to run a business....hard to support local business when you get such disgusting customer service more

Best Mother's Day Flowers Ever! 6/1/2012

I received the most beautiful and artful arrangement of fresh flowers from my Son-in-law for Mother's Day from Crimson Ridge. The arrangement was huge and lasted for over a week. Look no further if you want to impress someone with flowers- this is the place to order from! more

TEACHERS BEWARE 3/13/2012

Beatiful things in this store, but the store owner needs classes in Good Customer Service! He is rude and obnoxious to customers to the ordinary shopper, however someone who frequents his store and looks like they have money, will obviously get treated with royalty. He did not like that I bought 5 scarves on sale, would not wrap one of them with a same size regular priced ite,and would not let me take an insert card. However he offered to wrap the sale gift of another customers purchase?? He first had asked that customer his ocupation, and felt my teacher occupation was not up to his standard of customers. He obviously needs to watch his mouth, as the rest of the customers can hear his dishonesty loud and clear!!! I will never shop at this store again!!! more

really nasty salesperson 12/30/2011

Good selection of merchandise in the store, prices a little high unless you catch a sale, but the main salesperson (manager?) in the chocolatier area is condescending, abusive and irritating. I won't be back, ever, solely because of her. more

I will never shop her again 11/13/2011

they have seen the last of my money. a few weeks ago I was in Crimson Ridge shopping and a sales lady came up and told me "you would be better off shopping in the downstairs part of the store where we sell our lower priced items" I told her I was just fine wherw I was snd then she followed me around the store needless to say I did not buy anything more

Never Shopping Here Again 11/30/2010

My mom and I loved to shop here and until recently have had no problems. Each time we would go in there we bought something and always recommended this place to friends. We had heard bad things about the customer service but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. My mom purchased a necklace and then received the same necklace as a gift. She went to return the necklace she bought and they refused. She had the receipt with her and they insisited that she needed the original price tag to return the item. She drove home and dug thru all of the trash to find the tag. She returned to the store with the tag and the receipt and they told her that there was no way she could returned it because the tag wasn't connected to the necklace. Are they kidding? We will never shop here again. We contacted the local radio stations and newspapers. When we asked to speak to the owner he was no help. We also have been trying to contact the maker of the necklace since they are local. I ask you to reconsider ever shopping here. The weren't even willing to give us store credit. more

Wanted to buy some gifts for an ill friend but because one of the items was on sale they wouldn't wrap it. I offered to pay for the wrapping but was told NO! All this from the owner KIP alias jerkface. Don't waste your time or money shopping there it isn't worth the aggravation more

Problem Resolution 7/19/2010

I ordered flowers for a friend on 7/17 to be delivered on 7/19. They were to be a surprise. The store called to deliver on 7/17 ruining the surprise. I called Jennifer in deliveries and she couldn't have been more helpful. I expressed my disappointment and she came up with a great resolution. They would deliver an arrangement on 7/17 and the arrangement I ordered on 7/19. I was satisfied and my girlfriend was delighted! more

BOYCOTT CRIMSON RIDGE...A CALL TO TEACHERS 2/5/2009

"Teachers are the stupedest people I have ever met," (not a typo)said owner of Crimson Ridge, Kip, while ranting on about how he hates to wrap gift items area teachers come into his establishment to purchase on a frequent basis. This is just a beginning to some serious issues I had the displeasure to observe (and be subjected to) in Crimson Ridge before I walked out on my part time job there. Kip runs around the store stalking customers and cracks the whip on his sales staff to the point they do not take their Illinois mandated breaks and lunches. The majority of the sales staff, who are very sweet and kind people, advised me that he was an ogre of sorts and that they just try to ignore him the best they can. If you find that the sales staff seems unhappy, there is great reason why. And the reason why you see them trying to eat their lunches behind the counters between sales. Another of his tirades involved an elderly women wanting a box for a piece of Waterford Crystal she purchased as a gift for someone. Kip had snotted to her that it was his rule that no boxes are given on sales items. The woman called back later and spoke with a member of sales staff and they indeed found a box for her. The next day when I came in, the box was smashed. One of the lead sales reps informed me that Kip had punched it in a fit of rage and screamed at the person who obtained the box. I was so embarrassed when she came back in to get this box, knowing what he had done to it just to be nasty and bully people. That was yet another red flag that there is something terribly wrong with this owner. Next, I observed Kip wrapping a present for a customer.. He held the ribbon up to her rear end and said he was going to make a bow for her and needed to "use" her "ass as a guide." He then dished out ribbon twice the size of her rear end and said, "this is going to Finally, there was an incident with the bakery, Upper Crust, last Sunday. Horrible 1/26/2009

DON'T lose your receipt. They will act like they've never seen the merchandise. This guy kept repeating, "It doesn't look familiar." Then asked me where I bought it after I had just told him I'd bought it there. Quite snotty to boot. more

This is the perfect place to find that unique gift that will surprise and delight the recipient. It hard to walk out of there without something for yourself. I also think Chad and Kip are wonderful! more

I go to Crimson Ridge every time I'm in Rockford, but I live near Flagstaff, AZ. Anytime I need to send a gift for any occasion, I always call them directly and they take care of it. They've put together fabulous gift baskets, floral arrangements, whatever I need for the occasion. The quality and customer service are fabulous and they always make me look good! Thanks to Kip and his great staff! more
