I don't know why everyone says they're rude here. I've been to the Shadyside location many times and everyone has always been very nice. The owner is engaging, though he's usually...

While novel and having decent crepes, it is poorly managed and staffed. Service has not been rude, they are just not customer-oriented. With other options in the area...go somewh...

Amazing Sunday Brunch Spot 10/31/2006

After finding the Pamela's in both Squirrel Hill and Shadyside packed with lines out the door, my Sunday brunch crew tried this cute little hole in the wall. I recommend going with some friends and ordering some sweet as well as a few savory crepes. This worked really well for my group. My Black Forrest crepe was nearly perfect. I loved the dark chocolate filling. My husband's breakfast crepe with sausage and bechamel was very tasty too. His also came with a nice little salad of field greens and mandarin oranges. The drip coffee was more reasonable than some of the other beverages (and very strong the way I like it), but there are no free refills (they're $0.50--still not bad). While we didn't have to wait and our food came quickly when we went in around 11 am, a line soon formed in the next 30 minutes or so. No one asked us to leave when we were done, but we felt some pressure to get moving, because we had the only table of 6 in the place. As for the service, it's more of a coffee shop type of establishment, but they do bring your food to the table when it's ready. Our "waiter" seemed a little confused by my friend's order when he brought it, and told her it was something it was not, but it was quickly settled. All in all, this place comes highly recommended from me. I look forward to going back some time soon. more

Fabulous brunch spot... 9/26/2005

though the location leaves a bit to be desired. Having a wide selection of savory and sweet crepes, perfect for dessert or an out of the ordinary dining experience. Seating is rather limited however, so expect a line and arrive a bit earlier than the posted closing times as sometimes it may be so backed up. more

A bit pricey but delicious! 8/21/2005

More affectionately known as "the crepe place" to local residents, you can get a delicious French crepe at the Shadyside establishment. Offering savory and sweet crepes, for a morning meal select the savory (which is accompanied by a small salad). The atmosphere isn't the best -- it is a basement, below the Chocolate Moose. On the weekends, it can be extremely difficult to find a seat, and the serving line can be unbearably long. They rarely stay open to their posted closing hour, and be warned that the bottled water can sometimes be pricey. more
