sucked... 12/20/2006

I hated Cream Nails. I had been a regular customer, until they decided that they did not value my business. I had gone to them for a manicure/pedicure and they had a new manicurist who did a lousy job. When I asked them to fix it, she tried, but couldn't and they did not ask someone more experienced to take care of it. They overcharged me, and I did not tip them that day. I will never go back. Stay away from Cream Nails--I feel like I would pay more than deal with them! more

I have been to Cream Nails once, and I HATED it. When I first walked into the store, I was asked to pick out a color, the polish was completely scattered, and the polish that was organized, was not a wide variety at all. When I picked out my color and sat on the chair, the utensils used on my finger nails were taken from a drawer; I had no clue if they were sterile or not. The manicurist made no type of small talk, and when it was time for me to dry my nails, she did not let me finish. She told me to wait on another chair for my nails to dry, which had no fan. I hated the experience. Also, parking was not easy to find. more

an ok place, I guess 12/28/2005

I've been to Cream Nails about two times, and both times, I hated the expereince. First of all, the polish selection was not so great, and they did have bottles of polish around the salon. After the manicurist finished applying the polish that I picked out the first time, I saw another color on the other side of the store that I would have preferred to the one I already had on my nails. The customer service was not so bad, but, it was not so great either. I did not have to wait long to be helped and I did not have an appointment, but, there was no other customer in the salon. The prices were somewhat high and the parking is somewhat hard to find. I would not recommend this place to just anyone I know. more

I heard so many reviews about this salon that I decided to check it out. I was really not impressed at all. It was a nice place, not too well organized though. There was a lot of clutter in the backround. The ladies semed freindly enough and the service was pretty average. I got a mincure and pedicure. It was an average experience, nothing really extraordinary. So the prices for the services were on the high side. I would rather go to one of the hole in the wall places that you get what you pay for. more

Cream Nails 8/1/2005

I came here the day before my wedding for a mani/pedi. I had read all these great reviews about what a great deal this place was ($40 for mani/pedi). For $40, Cream Nails is more expensive than the local hole in the wall nail salon but cheaper than most upscale SF salons. The treament started out really nice. They don't use those plug in $20 foot spas. Instead, your feet get to soak in a bowl of bath salt mixture with stones as massage devices. You then get a warm lotion massage for your hands and feet. This is when the whole experience soured for me. While giving me a pedicure, my technician started yabbering away with her fellow staffers. She fails to get a tight grip over her utensils and lets one slip out of her hands. It hits me on the shin and gives me a cut the length of a quarter. I start to bleed and she just tries to clean the wound with her disinfectant. Luckily the manager came over with the commotion and told her to stop. The manager went to the drugstore around the corner and bought me a box of bandages and neosporin. She also gave me a certificate for 2 free massages and apologized profusely. I didn't feel like acting up like a diva so I just decided to let it go. To make a long story short, I came away with a terrific manicure/pedicure but also with a 1 1/2 inch scar that I still have to this day. Even though it was a freak accCream Nails again for a pedicure. more

When I first stepped into this nail salon, I thought it was kind of empty and cluttered. I did not have to wait for my turn. The nail manicurist was nice and made small talk while she was doing my nails. The manicure turned out really nice. It was not as expensive as I thought it would be. more
