I thought there were nice people, but when I went to consign and to check out what things of mine were sold there was one blond sales person. She didn't even look at my stuff and just accepted them. That was fine. But what she told me was that I will be getting a $100 check next week. I wasn't sure if she even accessed my account in the computer, but I was in a hurry so I said fine. Her attitude and lack of competency should have set off an alarm but I just ignored it. Then few weeks later in early May, I went there again to ask the store person why I haven't gotten my check yet. I told the the sales person (it was a different brunette girl) I want a print out for my sales recap. I also wanted to pick up some stuff that wasn't sold, so I went around the store to look for them and found one belt that belonged to me. I was suppose to be able to find a pair of pants and a nice sky blue jacket - old stuffs. I asked the sales person about it and she said she saw them somewhere but she can't find them either. Those two items were suppose to be either sold or should have remained in the store because the deadline for them has not yet passed. I let her get away with her excuse, because she told me I will be getting a check a week later. Cons: Everything on how the business is run more

RESALE AT ITS MOST REFINED . . . 3/29/2008

I love shopping resale, and this store is great! Current styles and fashions. Neat, organized and clean. The prices are the best I've seen in Boulder for resale, especially for an independently-owned shop. Definitely add this one to your ""must stop"" shopping. Also, the consignment terms are great to make some extra bucks (50/50 split which is rare these days). Check it out, you'll be glad you did! Pros: NEAT, ORGANIZED, CLEAN, GOOD SELECTION Cons: PARKING AT TIMES more

Second Chances 12/27/2007

I will go back!!! I recently went back to vist, and met the new owners. Deb and Dee were very friendly and have big plans for the store. They had terrible computers issues and just got it all up and running. I am glad that I decided to give it another chance. Good job, and Good luck ladies!! You are first CLASS. Pros: Energy Cons: Parking more

A work in progress . . . 12/26/2007

Please give these new owners a chance. They have 2 great shops in the Denver metro area (one in Aurora and one in Centennial) where they were voted ""Best Place to Buy Women's Clothing 2007.) They just recently took over Crazy Amy's, and have been plagued by computer issues, employee issues, etc. They are in the process of turning things, including redecorating to be more in line with their other stores, which are more boutique style. This will take time, but everyone deserves a second chance! I have never had a problem with shopping or consignments at the other stores, and I know that once they get things really rolling in Boulder, it will be known as a great place to shop for unique and current fashions. Please try, try again. Thanks for giving these gals another chance . . . they have a true love for what they do, and they are distraught over recent reviews. Things will get better . . . Pros: New ownership, new consignment guidelines for better inventory, a new look Cons: Prior bad reviews from a few more

Wierd place..weird people 12/9/2007

Hate the layout...not organized. Items for sale too ""hippie"" not trendy. Presentation is poor. Staff ignored me each time I was there. After the first visit's bad experience I gave it a second chance....still ignored! Cons: rude staff, no parking, poor quality more

DON'T GO HERE! 11/12/2007

Interesting to see someone else getting ripped off by the incompetent and untrustworthy people running this store. I, too, took in a very expensive pair of boots and they just can't seem to find them now! I will NEVER return to this store and will make sure what unreputable practices go on here. What BAD KARMA girls! Cons: Totally unscrupulous people working here more

They don't call it Crazy for nothin' 6/17/2007

We consign there all the time, and while they often whisper and our consigned clothes end up in several stacks, the idea that they would steal or lose a consigner's items is ridiculous. Seriously. Lately the quality of clothing has gone down a little bit, but you can still find good stuff. For example, over the years we've gotten Robert Clergerie, Angela Adams, Ella Moss, Coach, Trina Turk, and Nanette Lepore to name a few. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other consignment stores in Boulder and Denver. Staff is variable. Some of them are extremely nice and helpful, but on one occasion the lone sales girl closed the shop for 30 minutes to visit with her boyfriend in the ""back room"" while I waited in the cold, cold snow. Crazy. Pros: Good prices. Occasional finds. Cons: Variable customer service. Some not so nice clothes. more

Not how to run a consignment shop 5/5/2007

Selection is not great (trying a little too hard to be hip and alternative, pieces too worn for price). Terrible customer service every time, and last time, one of my pieces they consigned had disappeared, and the salesperson was totally indifferent. Just told me to keep looking until I insisted that she get up off her stool and look herself. She finally said, ""Yeah, sometimes things get stolen"" and, I think to get rid of me, said she'd have someone look again and call me. Which they never did. Go back? I never will. Pros: Walk from the mall Cons: Service, parking, quality, selection more

Not so good 4/8/2007

When consigning a few clothes, we found Crazy Amy's Consignments City in Boulder to be very sketchy. Watch out for the two young saleswomen, one blond and one brunette, who determine which items can be consigned. We wondered if they were stealing some of my personal items during the consignment process. They kept whispering with each other. One of the saleswomen was shaking and seemed nervous. Yet, at other times they were laughing with each other. During the consignment process, some of my items were on the floor behind the cash register, some were on the countertop intermingled with other people's clothes. It did not feel ligitimate. I certainly did not feel like I could shop during the consignment process, let alone leave the room, for I believe that some of my personal items would have been lifted. I left there wondering if they had returned all of my items to me that weren't going to be consigned. more

Best recycled clothing store I have been to! 12/13/2005

Crazy Amy's has a great selection of recycled clothing without the attitude. The presence of both owners makes the feel of the store comfortable and fun, they really care about you, your shopping experience, and your clothing. The prices are excellent, quaility high, and they have the best consignment rules in town. They pay top dollar for your clothing and have the longest consignment period in the area. I always go there first for name brand clothing at a discount. Pros: great prices, high quality, friendly staff Cons: meter parking more
