BEST BEACH EVER! 10/13/2008

Crane beach is the best around. The beach is very long and can get very wide at high tides. I live in Ipswich and have visited many other beaches, but just can't compare to crane's. Even though the greenheads come for two weeks, so what! Just use some skin so soft and you can hve a fly free day. It's perfect for walks. At low tide there is this big pool-like area where the water is warm and deep. I LOVE CRANE BEACH, AND I HOPE YOU DO TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: everything! Cons: nothing! more

Long, clean beach with facilities, great for families 6/7/2008

If you?re looking for a beach convenient to arcades and restaurants, go to Hampton Beach. Crane Beach is a great (and clean!) family beach, particularly for those with little kids. The waters tend to be warmer than Salisbury or some of the other oceanfront beaches because of the bay setting and the sandbars that run in front of it. No sharp drop-off makes Crane kid-friendly. Some years there?s pools that form at low tide for the little kids; depends on the winter storms. If there?s been an ocean storm, there can be some pretty good waves, but that can also create an undertow. If you have any questions, just ask a lifeguard ? lots of them on duty. There?s a snack shack, outdoor showers, and bathhouses with toilets and changing areas, so you can feed the kids and wash them off before leaving. Pros: Clean family beach, great for little kids Cons: July/August - greenhead flies more

Depends what you're looking for 7/25/2006

I went to Crane Beach in the beginning of July and it was a miserable experience. First of all, parking was $20 which is a bit expensive especially considering there is plenty of parking. The beach is esthetically very nice and clean. It would be a great beach if I had children or enjoyed having sand kicked on me by children. Pros: Clean and nice Cons: Children and insects more

Nice but expensive 6/24/2004

Crane's is a very nice beach good for families or yound adults alike. But bring your wallet. $20 to park on a weekend. Give me a break! You can go up to Salisbury State beach for $5 a day or get a year pass to the State Parks for a little more than Crane's is charging for one day. A much better value with giving up very little quality. Pros: Nice wide beach, Good tidel pool, Good Shower and snack Cons: , Not easy to get to, No waves more
