My family and I erroneously chose to have dinner here last night. We were in and out in a little over an hour, would have been quicker had the waitress not been depending on other people to handle our drinks and bill. In that time period, the window on my car was shattered, with my alarm going off and valuables stolen from the center console. (Before anyone goes off on an over opinionated rant, there was nothing in plain site to warrant a break-in.) \r

Regardless of the numerous people coming in and out of the restaurant, apparently no one reported the alarm going off or the shattered window to the staff. (If they did, that information was withheld from us and the police.) We were parked in the center of the main section of the parking lot, under poor lighting. The manager was not very forthcoming about the fact that break-ins at this location are a frequent occurrence, but the fact that he had SAPD on speed dial was a dead giveaway. They have no signs warning customers that break-ins happen often, no security officer and a sad excuse for security cameras. (The fact about frequent break-ins was also confirmed by the responding police officer.)\r

Our mediocre dinner wound up costing me upwards of $1000 in insurance deductibles and stolen possessions. I will NEVER dine at this location again. And, after overhearing an employee say that they aren't responsible for the vehicles in their parking lot, I will be very hard pressed to visit any other Cracker Barrel location. They may not be legally 'responsible', but there are reasonable precautions they could have taken to help prevent this from happening. I made the mistake of choosing to patronize a business that clearly does not value their customers safety, for that fact they have officially lost mine and my family's business.
