Not good 1/15/2012

I went here with a group last night as was very disappointed. Three of us ordered the rib eye steak dinner with salad and baked potato. Several minutes after we gave our order, our server came to tell us they were out of baked potatoes and someone had to make another choice of vegies. I did so and ordered mashed potato and okra. Then our salads came. I didnt even get through putting the dressing on my salad and our dinners came, leaving us stuck trying to eat our salads before our dinner got cold. The mashed potato was gummy and only warm. The okra was so small that I couldnt even stab it with my fork. The steak was NOT a rib eye and was over seared, dry and fat laden. We tried to order dessert, but they were out of chocolate cake. I ordered the berry cobbler...which they were also out of. I had the peach instead. It was a gummy mess. Im really not happy with this location and their food. more

Eggs with a side of sexual harrassment 2/17/2008

The Cracker Barrel should be ashamed of this site. The wait staff was extremely inappropriate with their oggling of myself and my 2 sisters. We felt like we were being assaulted by the eyes of the teenage wait staff. We are all over the age of 30, and yet these 17 year old boys thought it was worth their while to flirt with us and ignore the rest of their customers. They kept trying to making eye contact and at one point, one motioned with his head to ""come over"". The constant giggling and parade of random waiters coming over to see if we needed anything was endless. When we paid the check, one actually tried to approach us (he had shoulder length, unkempt black hair). I think they were interesting in bussing more than just our plates! This event really set the tone for the rest of our vacation. We were extremely uncomfortable here and honestly I could not even tell you if the food was good or not. Cons: sex-starved teenaged waiters more

Choice ""real"" breakfasts 12/12/2002

Best breakfast selections in the country. If you are not an egg fan try their blackberry pancakes. more

It is top of the barrel 11/24/2002

momma's pancakes 11/22/2002

Excellent ""feel"" to these restaurants. The Chandler location is a bit tough to get to right now because of the I-10 construction, but the pancakes are well worth the hassle. The hashbrown casserole is second-to-none. The Thanksgiving dinner listed sounds excellent and is priced under $9.00 and includes dessert. Pros: Fireplace Cons: Freeway Construction more

Absolutely Wonderful 9/13/2002

Cracker Barrel has the best breakfast I have ever had in a restaurant. Nothing fancy, just good old home cooking. The pancakes and potato casserole are awesome. The general store is the best, you can visit your childhood. This is a great economical treat. If you are a waffle lover however, this is not the place to go. They don't have waffles on their menu. Pros: Inexpensive, Quality, Fast Services more

Mama would be proud! 8/30/2002

There are few places that have breakfasts as good as Cracker Barrel. The ""Mama's Pancake Breakfast"" is by far the best in my book. Two eggs, how you want 'em, two sausage or bacon, and three huge pancakes. Just like my Mama used to make on those special holidays. The price can't be beat for the amount of food you get. Get a great cup of coffee, too. And one to go!! FREE! Pros: Great Food, Friendly Staff, Rocking Chairs more

Eggs-citing Breakfast 8/11/2002

The cracker Barrel is one of if not the best place for breakfast. The hash brown casserole is by far the best on the menu. If you eat lite breakfasts, this is not for you. They give you more than enough food for the value. A++ more

delicious 8/8/2002

When I first went to the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store(1996), I was traveling back to North Carolina to see my husband who was just back from Egypt with the Army. While on the road, my Dad stopped at a Cracker Barrell in Nashville. I said to my Dad ""We are NOT eating here. Are we?"" We went inside and the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was the best. It ended up being the talk of the trip. Grandma's Breakfast Sampler with Cherry Pancakes is the best. My husband and my children love it. Now anytime we want breakfast, we go to Cracker Barrel. Now thanks to my Dad, Who needs IHOP?! Pros: no wait on weekday, call for carry out, buy old country stuff Cons: long waits on weekend more
