Dreadful 10/6/2003

So disappointing . . . Slow service (takes half a meal to get water refilled), poor, overpriced food (small steaks, delivered half cold, biscuits hard & stale, stingy ""pre-fab"" salads served with lousy dressing) table cloth (plastic) sticky from last diner. Was suspicious the place was not crowded on a Saturday night - - - after eating there, can see why. Save your money & time Pros: uncrowded Cons: poor food, lousy service, overpriced more

Mmmm.... COW! 6/11/2003

If you're looking for a really good steak that's affordable -- this is the place to go! (They've got non-cow options also) And you don't need a big wallet for the big food and big drinks either. Ask for Rod or Travis for the best service! Pros: Great food, Affordable, Great service Cons: not open till 3, wkdy more

Cowboy's 3/31/2003

Get there early on weekends so that you can enjoy the prime rib. The homemade biscuits with honey butter are just like Mom used to make. Service is always good. Say ""hi"" to Travis in the bar! Pros: Food, Good Value, Parking Lot Cons: Need Reservations more

Great Prime Rib at a Great Price 7/24/2002

Nice atmosphere, quiet venue on weekdays, good & prompt service, and great big plates o' food. And best of all, no reservations req'd! The Prime Rib comes cooked to perfection anyway you like it, with a mountain of fresh-made, garlic-roasted mashed potatoes. It comes as either a 3/4 lb. boneless or a 2 lb. bone-in (recommend the boneless, it's less work), and there's a wonderful Au Jus and a zingy (but not too hot) horseradish sauce for dippin'. The meal comes with a salad (which I usually pass on to save room for the meat), and they bring fresh-from-the-oven down-home biscuits the size of a baby's head (honey upon request) when you sit down. Good drinks, haven't tried the desserts yet cause I always gorge myself on cow. Oh, and for the downright best (if a bit irreverent) service, ask for Rod. more
