When you go to Covington Transmission, you are treated like family. Ray & Trish are good, Christian people. This is a small, family run shop, not a national chain which is one of the reasons I like to give them my business. Ray installed my transmission in 2007, and it has been working great ever since. It took several days, but it was a big job. I have stopped by a couple of times for small, non-transmission related issues & Ray took care of them for me. Their prices are very reasonable & they are honest in how they treat people. I would not hesitate to recommend Covington Transmission to my mother or my best friend! more

I had a problem with my transmission, and I was recommended by my regular auto mechanic. Roy was so helpful; I drove in and within minutes he had diagnosed the problem. I just had low transmission fluid. He replaced it for free and I was out of there within 30 minutes. They seem very honest and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone. more

We have been in business since 1971. I think if we were not treating our customer right, we would not have been in business the long. Most of our business comes by referral. So, please don't take this one bad review who won't indentify themselves in consideration when you call on us. Ask your mechanic if he/she would recommend us. There are some people out there that you just can't please know matter how much you go out of your way to help them. We have never done a job that was not authorized by the customer. We have never taken advantage of anyone nor have we ever told a customer that we would call and never call. It is our policy to diagnose, call customer with what we found if anything wrong and tell them how much it would cost to fix the problem. If there is nothing wrong with transmission and you don't have a regular mechanic we will try and help lead you in the right direction to getting your vehicle repaired. We are very out going and friendly family owned business. more

Covington Transmission had my car for almost 2 weeks for a job that should have taken a few days. Every time I called, I got another story about why it was going to take longer. There were a few times when they told me they would call me on a certain day, and they never did. The lack of communication was not very professional.\r \r Also, I was not given the opportunity to authorize the repair after they diagnosed it. They just started to order parts and do the repair. I was not even given any estimates and was stuck with a huge bill afterward. \r \r I felt like I was taken advantage of and treated poorly, and they did not even apologize for having my car for almost 2 weeks.\r \r Empty commitments. Poor communication. Unfriendly. \r \r I will never take a car to Covington Transmission again. Pros: Fixed the problem. Cons: Took 2 weeks to diagnose and repair it. Unfriendly service.
