Don't believe the negative hype 7/17/2009

I have a 2008 Vue, and have brought it in a couple times over the last two years for oil changes and once or twice for warranty work. Every visit, I am greeted promptly on the service drive by a knowledgeable and friendly service writer who seems to be genuinely concerned. My Vue is always delivered to me when promised and never with any issue. Sometimes the best service is the service that just works and that you don't have to think about. Saturn's service is just that: seamless, quick and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone who appreciates good service. Pros: Fast, Friendly Service Cons: No Frozen Yogurt Dispenser in Waiting Area more

An unexpected pleasant visit 6/5/2009

I have a 2008 Saturn Vue, and recently had my vehicle in for service. After reading many of the negative reviews for this location online, I must admit I was a little apprehensive. However, I must admit I was glad I went! I was met promptly on the drive, by the service advisor who listened as I expressed my concerns, even asking questions when I couldn't exactly explain it (since the problem was intermit) I was then offered a loaner car, for no additional charge! I figured this was because I was under warranty, however the nice lady behind the counter explained this is a courtesy extended to all their service customers. My service advisor kept me informed about my vehicle thru out but I must admit I wasn't really worried since I had the loaner car. When I went to pick up my vehicle, the lady at the counter was very nice and pleasant and although my advisor was not there, one of his coworkers came and explained the work that was done and asked if I had any questions. When my vehicle came up, it was washed and vacuummed. I am so glad I did not listen to all the nay-sayers. I will be recommending this location to all my fellow Saturn owners.. Pros: convenience of a loaner vehicle Cons: only a pepsi machine on the sales floor more

Awful Service Department!! 12/31/2008

I purchased my Saturn from these guys 5 years ago and since it was the Ion's first year on the market, there were many bumps in the road. I've had to make the trek from South Austin to north 183 no less than 20 times and cursed the Saturn service department every time. If only there was a Saturn dealership down south... Anyway, if you find yourself forced to go to Saturn of Austin's Service Center, expect: Pros: Cheap Cars, No Haggle Pricing Cons: Customer Service After the Sale more

Worst Service Possible 2/21/2008

I purchased my Saturn in Dallas and was always happy with the service there. All that changed when I moved to Austin and began taking my vehicle to the Austin dealership. Over the last two years (warranty work) I've never had a single time where the work was performed in a timely and professional manner. The last time I've dealt with them I heard a large rattling sound from the engine compartment, upon stopping I found a screwdriver had been left in the engine compartment. more

Worst Service EVER 12/3/2007

Normally Saturn Service is a good place to take my Ion. That is NOT TRUE for Saturn of Austin. First they charged $40 over what they quoted me for an alignment. Second, Saturn took 15 minutes to retrieve my car. Third, the mechanic locked my keys in his locker. Saturn made me a new key, then tried to give me the key without discussing where my keys were. At first they made me search in my car for my keys, then upon discovering they weren't in my car, Saturn went through a more thorough investigation of the location of my keys. Saturn did not get my keys in the mail until 2 days later. The service manager claims the mechanic was new and didn't know any better, but I contend that Saturn should teach their mechanics to keep the keys outside of their personal belongings. Even with a warranty, I don't think I'll be returning to Saturn of Austin; I'll drive to San Antonio. My car might be fixed, but the customer service is unacceptable. Someone I don't know had posession of my keys (not to mention the address on my bill) for 2 days! =( more
