Never had a bad meal 3/17/2009

I have never had a bad meal here. The food is always fresh, plentiful and delicious. Spinach a la Penne is a particular favorite. The waiters are very attentive and efficient and are always fun to chat with. I highly recommend this place (now renamed Efes) for good food and a friendly relaxing atmosphere. Turkish food at its best! Pros: Good food. Friendly, attentive service. more

Just Bad! 5/30/2008

This is just bad food! Mujver tasted weird, hummus had a sour taste and our kebabs were cold! Service was bad, the boss was rude... Just not recommended! Cons: just bad! more

Best Mediterranean food in Chicago 1/29/2008

Perfect atmosphere, authentic Mediterranean food at a very reasonable price. Great for dates, at least for me =) And the chef is the co-owner and he's TURKISH. These are his recipes. It's the real deal. Enjoy! more

Not that great 8/20/2007

Maybe I am mistaken expecting this restaurant to serve turkish food, but this place is anything but true Turkish food. Food had no traditional spices. Service was good though. Reasonable priced but ABSOLUTELY no flavor!!! Pros: good service Cons: fodo below average more

fantastic food! 7/11/2007

Wonderful place with super delicious and healthy food. All my friends (meat-eaters and veggies/vegans) love it the same.\r It is just the welcoming atmosphere, the nice decor, the helpful staff and the delicious dishes and yummy desserts. The salad bar has such a great selection that you just don't know where to start with. I just love it, what else can I say....\r Come and see for yourself. Cousins IV is worth it!!!! NO doubt there! \r \r Pros: nice attentive stuff, amazing food, cozy environment, floor tables! more

Fresh and wholesome 7/3/2007

A place to get real wholesome food at a nice price. The vegan options are good and the service is polite and friendly. I always feel relaxed in this place and not rushed to finish my food and get out. A must place for all vegans. Pros: fantastic food, friendly staff, peaceful environment, the best deserts more

Romantic and cheap! 9/4/2006

This is a fantastic place! Fun, funky and romantic. Try to sit and the tables against the wall with the pillows instead of chairs. The food is wonderful and cheap! I would recommend Cousin's to anyone in Chicago. Pros: Romantic, cheap, fun more

Le Bon Heure 9/4/2004

Always get the bottle of wine, never the glass. The wine is excellent and much cheaper. You cannot get decaf tea or coffee which is disappointing but the food is excellent and well worth the trip. If you have an exercise program in place, you'll need it because you'll want more of everything. Wear good, clean new socks & stockings because if you end up on the 'true' Middle Eastern side of the restaurant, you will have to take off your shoes & fold your legs as though you were in kindergarten. It does take some doing, yoga, if you're not used to it. I recommend sitting at a table, if one is available. If you bring children, they should be mature. It's not a place to let small children run about. Pros: Fits the wallet, Atmosphere, easy, Nice outdoor cafe Cons: , Paid parking building, no decaf tea-coffee more

How about health Food? 12/22/2002
