Really nice and cozy and I ate delicious 8/6/2011

Something that we tried when we were there was 'tequenio' is like fried white cheese wrapped by wheat flour dough with a guava sauce dip, for appetizer ..and tried othe Venezuelan dishes...Very good. It's like a mix of Cuban cuisine with Trinidad Island meal. Great service that make you feel comfortable...that is not the common denominator in places around this in BH. The coffee -oh the coffee- delicious ...Venezuelan coffee brewed Italian style very very good.. We really enjoyed this place and we'll come back. Definitely. more

Great food, great atmosphere 7/13/2010

Repeat visitor found out by recommendation from a friend. They have a entire page for custom coffees drinks. You can try some of the native Venezuelan menu items, custom pasties, beans and rice basics or a variety of salads. Excellent BH people watching opp by sitting outside! Look for parking gargage in block behind Cafe, allow 90 mins free parking. Pros: Menu variety, ambiance, coffee, people watching Cons: parking is tricky more

Cool spot 12/15/2009

This place is great. They greet you right at the door and seat you right away. i've never been to a Venezuelan restaurant before. You get a lot of food for what you pay for, which is not expensive. The service here was very good. I went for dinner, but it's a place you can go just to have coffee, and even get some work done. I recommend this place 100%. more

Outstanding 2 thumbs up 10/20/2009

I was walking down Canon and happened to run into this place. When I saw the logo I remembered that some friends I happened to know who are actually Venezuelan had highly recommended it. It was DELICIOUS, the service was outstanding. The place was pretty packed and our server was very attentive and friendly. I had the DineLA menu for $22 it was amazing, I could barely finish my main course, a lot of food for more than a reasonable price. There are two prix fixe menus for $16 lunch and $22 dinner three courses with a lot of amazing food, can't beat that. My new favorite spot. Great ambiance, fun music, did I mention $7 martinis. Pros: Venezuelan specialties, great service more

A Whole New Culinary Culture 2/2/2009

Being an avid sushi goer, I tend to only stick with food I know about. I also tend to dine in the valley not posh Beverly Hills so when a friend mentioned Coupa Cafe I reluctantly allowed myself to be dragged along. When coming into the resturant you are greeted by all the staff and quickly seated. Once you sit down you are able to take in the beauty of the restuarant, the amazing architecture, the brillant fireplace, the desserts and chocolates in the showcase. If you love coffee this is your new mecca, forget starbucks, you are about to fall in love with the aroma, taste, and quality of true Veneszuelan coffee. They have a hip cocktail menu with drinks I've never seen that are both beautiful and tasty and a beer list as well. For an appetizer I had tequenos which are Veneszuelan cheese sticks which put mozzarella sticks to shame, with their crisp doughy outside and warm almost melting cheese in the middle. Its the perfect bite to start off your meal. For my main course I had the Wild Mushroom pasta which was an amazing light elegant dish with 3 kinds of mushrooms. This is deffinately a place I will be a regular at, and you should come out and try all of the amazing dishes on this one of a kind menu. Pros: great price, great service, plenty of new things to try more

My absolute favorite place in Beverly Hills! 1/29/2009

As a jaded LA local and self described food-snob, I figured the first time I went to Coupa cafe to find meals for 6.50$ in Beverly Hills, I figured this would be your typical cafe food- and boy was I wrong. Coupa Cafe's food is far better than dare I say, most of the cuisine the 90210! Pros: Free parking, great food, super cheap, pleasant atmosphere Cons: Sometimes they close early if they aren't busy more

Latin America meets Beverly Hills 7/24/2008

Coupa Cafe is AMAZING not only because it's in a prime spot in Beverly Hills, but because the food is SO GOOD, the service is great (we had a really cute waiter last time!) and it's not going to break the bank. The Tres Leches cake at Coupa Cafe is UNREAL--- I highly highly recommend it. They also have a very good selection of coffee drinks, desserts, crepes, salads and the famous arepas. I personally love the salads (especially the ""beverly hills salad"" and the one with goat cheese) and the desserts and they serve breakfast ALL DAY! The selection has something for everyone at a good price. Did I mention they play really good music? Pros: food, service, ambience, cute tiles on the floor and a very clean bathroom more

My favorite restaurant in Beverly Hills. Best venezuelan food and great service 6/16/2008

The first time I ate at Coupa Cafe, it was an amazing experience. I had the best cachapa and I really enjoyed the tres leches. It was the best tres leches I have ever had. Then I had to go back to try their famous pabellon. I was so glad I went back because it was so delicious. After that second great experience, I started going back to Coupa Cafe at least once a week. They always have fabulous specials. It makes my week just to have lunch or dinner at Coupa. In addition, it has great service and the manager is so nice. The place is very nicely decorated and the free wi-fi is convenient if you just want to do some work over lunch. Pros: Excellent service and amazing food more

Over the Top Food, Ambience and Service! 6/16/2008

Best Coffee Spot In LA! 6/14/2008

Wow. The best coffee I have ever had! From the moment I entered Coupa Cafe until I left, I was treated very warmly by the staff. Both the level of attention that I received and the quality of the food exceeded all of my expectation. My only problem now is that I found the coffee to be so good that anything else that I drink elsewhere seems poor. more

Best Costumer Service, Most Innovative and Inventive, Excelente ambiance. 6/13/2008

Coupa Cafe is one of the coolest places in Beverly Hills, I have been there a couple of times and each time I have tried new dishes and every time I have loved them!!! Their Latin-Venezuelan food is AMAZING and I have always received incredible service at Coupa!!! this is why I decided to rate them because I really want others to go and have fun and get to know this special and warm place. I reccomend it to anyone whos looking for a different place to eat and hang out. Pros: Good Ambience, great service more

Mean Manager 6/13/2008

I ate at this establishment........or tried to eat shall I say. we ordered our food and 20 minutes later, the waiter told us that my choice was unavailable. We patiently waited for our food to come....and still no arrival. the manager came by the table and he acted rude, defensive, contradicting while making no attempts to help us. The food finally came and we took it to go......It was dry and mediocre at best. Bad Reviews stink, but I was compelled to write one after the way we were treated. Pros: location Cons: the manager more

Excellence! Hands Down, the best place in Beverly HIlls 3/17/2008

Talk about OVERALL EXCELLENCE... from the food, to the decor, to the drinks, to the service. I recently visited LA, and as I found myself in the heart of Beverley Hills I stopped by a small cafe for a quick cup of coffee. Little did I know that I had found one of the most well kept secrets of the city. This small restaurant/cafe, totally took me by surprise when I first looked at the menu. What a variety!, so many great choices! I decided to be bold and try some of their typical Venezuelan dishes... tried one of their ""arepas"", recommended by one VERY friendly waitress. I could have not made a better choice, to put it in humble terms, it was an explosion of flavor in my mouth!!! I closed of my meal with one of the best cappuccinos I have had in a very long time! To put it in simple terms, I ended up coming back to this little joint twice again during my one week trip... I had an excellent experience every time... specially when I came back for dinner the night before I headed back home and they had a live guitarist playing, to go along with the nightly drink special! more

Delightful, casual, with great quality coffee and food 2/21/2008

It's not always easy to find authentic ethnic cuisine at a reasonable price with warm service in Beverly Hills- but Coupa has done it quite well. Pros: Great prices, great food, warm caring staff Cons: Parking is never easy, even in the lots more

A welcoming window into the heart of Venezuelan cuisine. 11/2/2007

I moved to Los Angeles from Venezuela in July of 2006, and it wasn't too long before I heard about Coupa Cafe. I admit I was a little wary at first, since Venezuelan food is not an easy thing to replicate outside the country... the ingredients have to be just so, and the preparation has to be a peculiar way - it looks quite simple but it's anything but. Pros: Food, varied menu and service. more
