My son has attended Country Home since he was 4 months old, he is currently in Pre-K and absolutely loves it. Ms. Linda, his teacher, teaches him Spanish as well as his ABC's and 123""s. He is learning how to read as well as write. In addition to the educational aspect, Chase loves the extras, Gym, Computers, Soda Shop, Field Trips, Playgrounds and Soccer Shots. We love that our son is so happy at Country Home. more

VERY POOR CARE!! 3/11/2011

My daughter Attended the North Austin location for several months. This is a very poorly run childcare center. My daughter CRIED and SCREAMED every day when I brought her here, for several months. Finally I switched her to a new place and she was fine after 1 week. They never have the same staff. The administrator sits up front in a dress and high heals and really does not interact with the children. After being there for several months, when I made my Bi-Weekly payments, they had to keep asking me my daughters name. AND Instead of TELLING the parents not to park up front. THE DAYCARE called the FIRE marshells to come out and write Tickets to moms for parking out front. My mother parked there and got a ticket and the Fire marshell told they that they daycare asked them to come out. They whole time I went there NOBODY ever told me we could not park there. They have a beautiful play area, Gym and Soda shop. But I think it stays Beautiful because they don't really use it. more

Concerned 1/6/2011

My daughter went there over the summer and I had a bad gut feeling when she came home everyday harming herself. I kept thinking there was something wrong with her. She is now in a wonderful Montessori who takes wonderful care of her and she has never harmed herself again. So makes me think she was 1. neglected, 2. being hurt, or harmed in some way by the teachers or the students and not payed attention to. The place is very dirty. No attention to detail. Always brought her home left in poo-pie diapers that i could tell she was in for hours. One day I went in and they complained that she had a bowel movement one to many times for them. The teacher always complained about the students when i came in there, they didn't' like their job. The front office staff never cared when I complained and are very rude on the phone. I suggest you really look into this place before you put your very young ones there. I think it is OK for 5 and older. More geared for the older children. more

little more attention to sippy cups 1/6/2011

My daughter has been there for over a year now and enjoyes the staff. I have friends and family with children around the same age and my daughter is so advanced compared to the other children, she is learning so much, colors, number, ect.. My only concern is when i brought home her sippy cups there was mold inside the lid where the valve goes. I informed and showed them lids. I know that the cups get sanitized every day but if the valve is not removed milk and juice stay in there and with the heat from being sanitzed it startes to create mold. I'm glad to say that the staff was informed but please take your childs sippy cups home on the weekends and give them a proper cleaning by removing the valves. more

Slowly down hill 9/20/2007

We have had our son there for almost 2 years. At first it was great now it seems to have gone way downhill. My gut feeling and experiences tell me that the management of this location has become elitist within their organization and the teaching staff has become ineffecient and not very well trained. Office administration seems to take most of the close parking spots designated for drop offs leaving parents to park in fire zones, or park in the back. This in itself is reflective and symbolic of how and why this location has gone down hill. more

We love Country Home! 5/21/2006

My little one has attended Country Home since he was 8 weeks old. He's now 3 and I've never contemplated taking him elsewhere. The facility is cheerful, clean and bright. Something that couldn't be said for a couple of other facilities that had been recommended to me during my pregnancy. The staff is incredibly nuturing and friendly - any issues (and they've been minor) that I had were addressed immediately. Country Home strives to provide a stimulating curriculum and a day doesn't go by that my child doesn't learn something new. As a teacher I know the importance of providing both structure and opportunities for individual expression. I think Country Home is very successful at both. Most importantly, my child looks forward to school and speaks affectionately about the entire staff - from his teachers, to the director, to the custodian. We are very impressed with Country Home. Pros: Excellent Value , Parents Welcome, Wonderful Playscapes Cons: Not enough parking more
