My daughter spent two years at this location two years ago. The facility is huge and we actually chose to send our daughter here over a closer location primarily for this reason....

Wonderful Pre-School 1/19/2011

Infant and Pre-School Care Country Home has helped me raise my three children over the past decade, and I could not ask for a better environment. When we arrive each morning, my children and I are greeted by warm smiles from all of the teachers that we have worked with. The teachers keep my children safe and encourage learning throughout the day as the kids learn to interact and play with others from infants throughout their early years. Most days when I come to pick my children up, they have had such a good day that they want to stay a bit longer. more

Excellent and very Caring Staff 1/19/2011

I have had the pleasure of having my 2 precious girls in the loving care of Country Home Learning Center on Escarpment for over 4 years now. The staff is very caring and have done an excellent job at preparing my oldest for Kindergarten and doing the same for my youngest. It is a wonderful feeling as a parent to know my children are safe and in loving hands while I am at work. I recommend this facility to all parents that are in the area. Thank you Shannon and all of you for all that you have done for my family! Shalana more

The teachers are very friendly and truly care 1/18/2011

My daughters have been going to Country Home Learning Center for almost a year, and they have learned so much more than I could have imagined during that time. They love all of the fun activities from gym time to the computer lab to the cooking lessons. My four-year-old always has a blast on the field trips, going to the Country Home ranch or other places around San Antonio. The teachers are very friendly and truly care about each of the children individually. Class sizes are never too big, and are very appropriately divided by age groups. I recommend County Home to my friends all the time, and would not want my children in any other school! more

Country Home Learning Center is a fantastic daycare. 1/18/2011

Country Home Learning Center is a fantastic daycare. My husband and I were impressed from the moment we entered the daycare with the level of cleanliness, apparent structure, and security measures taken to ensure that children are provided the best level of care in a learning environment. We have two small children, a two year old and 5 month old, who are both enrolled. My oldest was rather shy and timid when he first started. He now knows parts of his ABCs and can count to ten by himself more

Country Home provides a safe, educational learning environme 1/18/2011

Country Home provides a safe, educational learning environment for children. My daughter loves her present and past teachers each of who foster her character growth and unique personality. The clean, child friendly facility encourages interactive, hands on play along with education opportunities such as vocabulary development (both English and Spanish), imaginative play, and development of age appropriate skills. Learning skills, retelling stories, singing new songs and talking about her day, ensure me that Country Home is a great child care facility. I will be confident to send a second child there as well. more

Impressive, Cary and Friendly staff 1/10/2011

I recently relocated to San Antonio from Corpus Christi. Both my children have attended Country Home since April 2010. My wife and I have been impressed with Country Home’s care, staff and overall environment. It’s friendly, safe and clean and provides convenient hours to accommodate our work schedules. We have an 8 year old son who can’t wait to get to after school care and gets upset when I pick him up too early because of the fun he misses out on. My precious 10 month old daughter is cared for by the nicest infant care technicians I’ve ever been around. They remind me of my Mother which makes me feel better because I don’t leave my daughter with just anyone. I recommend Country Home to anyone! more

Country Home is the best school for my family 1/10/2011

My children started attending Country Home Learning Center in September 2007. After being a stay at home mom for 4 years I decided to go back to school and this meant I needed to find a school for my children. I researched many, many schools and Country Home was the best choice for my family. When my boys, ages 2 and 4, began attending school, it was a new experience for all of us. We were all nervous, scared and worried about being apart after spending our days together for so many years. I left the boys there knowing they were learning and playing and being taken care of by loving, caring, wonderful teachers. I’ve always trusted them with my children and although I missed them during the day, I knew they were all right. There is not a lot of teacher turnover, which means my boys’ teachers were their teachers for the entire year, developing special relationships. The curriculum is amazing as well; everything my children learned at Country Home has more than prepared them for public school. My children have been attending every since, although now it is for after school care. There is no other place I would send my boys, Country Home is the best school for my family! more

The Staff was Extremely Qualified and Devoted 12/21/2010

Four years ago I was worried sick when I had to drop off my infant son at daycare. Since he was my first child and only weeks old, I was concerned for anyone other than myself to be taking care of my brand new baby. It didn’t take long to fall in love with the Country Home people and facility. In a short amount of time, I realized that the staff was extremely qualified and devoted to the best care of my child. Since then, another baby has come and we have been just as pleased this time around. Most of the staff that took care of my oldest are now taking care of his younger brother. I diligently researched all of my daycare options within the area and I am thankful I made a great choice with Country Home. more

Good infrastructure and Great daily activities 12/20/2010

My son has been attending Country Home Learning Center since October 2009. My son has had the opportunity to develop in many areas. He and I love the hands-on activities that are planned daily. The teachers are very caring and have a positive attitude. The school is up to date with toys, furniture, and the playgrounds are just fantastic. I love to pick him up and see such enjoyment. I drop off my son in the mornings feeling a sense of security that he is being well taken care of. more

Description of Product or Service Endorsing: 12/19/2010

My child has attended child care and after school care at country home for about 3 years and it has been a very positive experience. All of the staff are committed to having a safe and positive learning environment. The pre-school curriculum was very beneficial to him and prepared him to excel in kindergarten. I would highly recommned this learning center to anyone interested in sending their children to it. more

Great after school activities 12/15/2010

This is the fourth year that our children have been at Country Home. We have been very happy with our experience. My son was in their Kindergarten program last year and was very prepared for starting school this year. My infant is currently in their nursery and the staff goes above and beyond to take great care of him. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Our two older children attend the after school program and summer camp programs. They really enjoy all the activities and feel very comfortable there. more

Excellent staff n pleasant Services 12/15/2010

We moved to the San Antonio area last year & had no childcare. Upon researching several options, we decided on Country Home. Let me begin by saying that it's not an easy job that any learning center has: teaching children, especially at a young age, is challenging at the least. The fact is that Country Home has been one of the best things to happen to us since living here. Some may feel that's overstated, and i would disagree. Our child, Zachary, is the most important person to my wife & myself. He cannot decide things for himself, does not have enough reasoning capability yet to know even right from wrong. That's where Country Home has been there. They've taught him how to interact with other children, as well as adults, they have also taught him that theres a time for naps, and a time for play, etc. The teaching staff, if Zacharys teachers Danielle & Amy are any indication, are exemplary. We will soon be relocating back to the San Francisco area, and i recently told my wife that one big regret is that there are no Country Home Learning Centers back home. When i drop my son off in the morning, it's never an easy thing for me to leave him with anyone. But knowing that he's not just being ""babysat"", and that he's actually learning & interacting, doing arts & crafts, and playing outside, as well as indoors, gives me peace of mind as a parent. Country Home will always have my vote, and we will always stop by when visiting family after we leave, so i can always show Zachary his first school. Thank You, truly. more

Child care for two sons 12/12/2010

A horrible, horrible daycare! 6/25/2010

For the most part, I liked this daycare for the first year my child was attending. Then she moved to the next room and I began to see this daycare for what it really is.\r \r I came into pick up my child one day to find a coin in her mouth! A coin. She was sitting in the highchair under the teacher's watch, very obviously chewing on a coin!\r \r Then the biting started. My child was bitten 4 times in a week and I was told they have no clue who did it and nor will they do a thing about it.\r \r While standing there to complain about the biting incident with my own child, a father came up with a bag of pills and informed the Director that his son had found the pills in his classroom and ingested a couple. \r \r Wow. Talk about a school that does not care about their students. \r \r Coins in the mouth, bites, pills....this is a real winner of a school.\r \r I have filed complaints with the State and will be taking my son out ASAP! Pros: A few teachers are great Cons: The Director and staff do not care about the kids! more

Honestly, I am surprised 4/1/2010

I had originally started my google search today to find the zip code of the daycare where my daughter who is four, and my son, who is two, attend. I was shocked to see these two negative reviews and none positive, so I decided to throw my two cents in. My four year old girl has been attending this location since May 2007, when she was nearly 18 months old. Yes, she cried at first, but it was the first time being away from me. Her brother started March 2008 at three months old. There have been issues in the past, but like any good daycare they have been extremely communicative about the needs of my children. Yes, they are strict on their rules with the parents and the kids, but really, that ends up making for a better situation since you always know what to expect. As to the other reviews who say the teachers are unfriendly and blase, I have to ask - have you ever tried talking to them? I tend to notice most of the other parents rushing in and leaving quickly, never giving the teachers a moment to even make conversation. I try to make sure I have a few minutes in the morning and afternoon to talk with them, and they are always nice and friendly. Before you go accusing them of being standoffish, look at yourself to see if your attitude towards them has put them in that position. Pros: Small class size, wide variety of educational opportunities Cons: Strict on the rules - which is a good thing, really! more

Do not send your children here! 6/1/2009

While touring, we thought this would be a great place for our child to be prepared for kindergarten. They have a gym, swim/splash area, computer room, and an indoor playroom for hot or rainy days. From the beginning of our daughter's enrollment I have been uncomfortable with leaving her here. The teachers are unfriendly, rude, and quite honestly, neglectful. They do not greet you or your child when you come in, or tell you bye when you leave. They have nothing positive to say about your child on the rare occasion that you are spoken to. Teachers are endlessly chatting with neighboring class teachers, leaving the children unattended. I even heard one teacher respond to a child by saying, ""I don't care."" When I took a concern I had to the admin. I was brushed off and my concern was ignored. After 4 months, I'd had enough and pulled my daughter out immediately! Pros: nice features Cons: administration down to the teachers more

Country Home Learning Center 2/2/2008

My daughter was enrolled in there for nine months and she absolutely hated it. We had to drag her screaming to her classroom each day. She had been to a daycare before, (I have always worked) and she complained but NOTHING like that. One young blonde teacher practically BLESSED ME out over her behavior one day.. as if I were the one who had behaved that way. I called and complained several times about what was going on. Nice place, unfriendly teachers, my kid hated it. She is in Kindergarten now and loves it, what a difference!! Glad that is over. Pros: The do make an effort teach the children. Cons: Teaches shout at children, too much. Teachers do NOT smile, or greet parents. more
