Horribly rude and inconsiderate 5/14/2007

I have had better customer service at the drive through at the local fast food restaurant. There is no quality customer service. If you are not a regular customer you are the last to be served if you are even served at all. I sat there for 30 minutes waiting to be served a drink because it was a hot day and I was dying of thirst. There were a moderate amount of customers, but they were by no means busy. At one point I even tried to get the attention of a server and I was very rudely ignored. When confronted with their poor customer service they have an ""I don't care and you can leave if you like to"" attitude. Their tasty garlic burgers cannot make up for their lack of common decency and concern for the welfare of their customers. Pros: good garlic burgers Cons: Horrible ambience, unfriendly servers, bias showed to preferred customers and those who drink alot, will not listen to positive criticism and feedback from customers. more

Like everyone else I heard that the garlic burgers are out of this world. I decided to go there. If you drove by it you wouldn't know it was a place people would eat at. It is a bar. No question. Dark, smoke filled, old men and women drinking, pool table, small, bar. It did not feel like I was in Utah there, if you know what I mean. I wait at the bar to give my order. The lady behind the bar asks me if that was my wife and kid outside. It was. I knew they couldn't come in so they waited outside. She says that she can't serve me if they are on the premises, it is against the law. I say what if they drive away, you give me the garlic burgers to go and I'll have them come back to pick me up. We don't do take out she says. There was nothing I could do. It was alright with me though because there wouldn't be anything that would taste good in a place that smokey. Anything you ate or drank would have tasted like smoke. We ate somewhere else. Pros: If you like smoke filled rooms and Alcohol. Cons: The smoke filled rooms and smell of alcohol. more

A local favorite 10/30/2006

The Cotton Bottom Inn is a great little beer bar with excellent garlic burgers. I would recommend dining on the patio on a summer evening with a pitcher of your adult beverage of choice and a garlic burger. The burger is served on crusty french bread and is delicious. Great Burger, Bad Service (some nights) 4/21/2006

The Garlic burger is out of this world!!! I love to go there and grab a burger and a drink but I have found that certain nights are way better in terms of service than others. I was there tonight (Saturday) and it took forever to even order not to mention the attitude I got when she finally gave me the time of day! Rude! However, I have been there other nights when the service and everything was amazing! Tonight the burgers were great I just could have done w/o the attitude. I now know when to go and when not to. Can't beat a good Garlic Burger!!! 4/5/2005

Mmmmm! Outstanding! I have heard alot about the Cotton Bottom from co-workers and friends, about how good the Garlic burgers and the beer was. So, with much encouraging I had to try it. I went and they were 100% right sat down bartender was right there to take our order. Never tasted a burger like that in my life it was the best. (evan though my breath could have killed anything in sight). I would reccommend this to everyone, only if you have a taste for garlic.. The Cotton Bottom has hit rock bottom! 6/27/2004

I have been a devoted and frequent patron of the Cotton Bottom for over 10 years now. And I regretfully have to say, it's been a downhill ride the last couple of years. Let's face it, the service has never been outstanding but that's not why we're there, right? It's the garlic burgers and beer! However, the service is now consistently effecting my garlic burger and beer consumption...not good. The service has sank so low that it may as well be self serve. The ""Cotton Bottom ambience"" is all but faded away. The garlic burgers are hit and miss, with many more misses than hits. It's sad, but lets face it. The Cotton Bottom has hit rock bottom. Cotton Bottom 7/2/2003

Having lived in Salt Lake for 7 yrs. we stopped in for lunch and dinner after snowboarding at Brighton or golfing at Old Mill and Cotton Bottom had the best food, atmosphere, service with a smile and darn cheap prices. You don't need to spend all your hard earned cash at the resturant next door when you can (if they have room) get into the Cotton Bottom and have some great conversation with the locals, play some pool, have some cold drinks and relax. About 40 cloves of garlic! 1/30/2003

Emeril would be proud. About 40 cloves of garlic goes in to each burger, and that is exactly the way it should be. The Cotton Bottom Inn is a great place to have a few beers with some friends. It is on the small side, but all in all a friendly and fun place. Tasty burgers that are SO worth the trip from the Aves keep me coming back. A must try!
