Great breakfast place! 4/27/2010

We tried this place for the first time on Sunday and will definitely be going back. The food was great, and the service was good although they were busy (so a bit slow, but to be expected). The only thing I didn't like is that they only sell pancakes M-F. Otherwise, great experience! Pros: atmosphere, food, price Cons: no pancakes on weekends more

pleasant surprise 1/23/2010

The food came out quickly. The waitress was great and knew what we needed before we asked. The food tasted great! The chili fries were among the best. We had no problems and had a great experience. Pros: good food and nice service Cons: none- more

Sunday breakfast 7/21/2008

We ate for the first time at the Omlette Parlor this past weekend. While the food was great, the waitress was not! I didn't speak up while there, which I regret. One of the people in our party is on a special diet and asked for some eggs, tomatoes and dry toast. The waitress actually reached accross the table, tapped on the menu and told all of us ""These are called menus. We give these out so that people will read them and then use them."" It was totally uncalled for and really put a damper on the gathering. I'm not sure what her problem was- i.e. too busy or too stressed,- but it is not the way someone that is in the service industry should be adressing a customer. As a casual family oriented eating establishment, I would have thought they would be a little more accomdating to their customers.\r more

Cute & Quaint- this breakfast spot is a prime destination for egg enthusiasts! 7/2/2008

Not what you would expect from a Costa Mesa strip mall- this place is an absolutely adorable spot with a lot of character and plenty of flavor. The interior instantly transports you to a different day and age far from the commercialized California that permeates the scene of every street nowadays. There are many different omelettes to choose from with names and indredients that are eccentric and fun, and waffle combos that are sinfully succulent. There is a lunch menu, but why try anything but breakfast at a place with a signature breakfast dish in it's name? Pros: Food with a side of fun! Cons: crowds during typical breakfast hours more

An Immediate Favorite For Me! 8/8/2007

I have been searching for a place like this in orange county. No more cookie cutter restaurants for breakfast that doesn't give you that much food for a lot of money for us. I recommend this place to everyone. It is so great. The breakfast is so yummy and you get a full plate of food for just around 6-7 bucks. The inside is super cute with the wooden booths and the antique-ky look I just love it. Pros: the food, the amount of food, service, cozy ambience Cons: location it's a little hidden but not too hard to find more

My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE breakfast spot!!!!! 2/11/2007

I discovered this place because I had a coupon in my Entertainment Book, and it was one of the best discoveries I've made! My husband and I have been going to the Omelette Parlor for years, and we've brought my entire family and many friends with us. Not only have we immensely enjoyed every omelette we have ever had (favorites are Mrs. Beecher's & South Coast's Finest) but we also love the waffles. The breakfast potatoes remind me of what I grew up eating, and the whole grain english muffin with apple butter is incredibly delightful. It draws a major crowd on the weekends after about 9 a.m. but it is totally worth the wait. I highly recommend the Omelette Parlor if you're looking for a good breakfast place. Pros: Great food, fast service, good coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, ample parking Cons: Sometimes too many locals, older building looks kind of grimy more

None of the dishes match, it's got an old homey feel to it. LOVE LOVE LOVE the omelettes but they also have delicious salads and burgers. yum yum. Pros: reasonable prices, great food more
