Corlew Appliance Parts Svc

Technician arrived for a dishwasher repair stating he was a GE rep for 14 yrs. The first thing he asked was if the plug on the disposal was knocked out. Mind you the dishwasher is 2 yrs old. He then started looking to see if the line was clogged which I told him I had already checked and it was clear. He still took the drain line off and reattached after finding it was clear. I told him the water sensing float may be the problem. He had no clue as to where it was located. The long and the short was that he had no diagnostic equipment, ran the dishwasher for a minute, said it is not leaking now and should be fine. He wanted $75 for the service call saying he guaranteed his work for 30 days. That night while running a complete cycle, the dishwasher again leaked. I called him the next day and told him I thought it was the door gasket. He told me he could order one ""IF THIS IS WHAT I THOUGHT IT WAS'. This is the repair man asking me to diagnose the problem. Morale of the story, trust previous reviews and don't hire morons. Post script- It was the gasket which was repaired by another company. more

Beware! I :scheduled and appt. with Corlew and waited during my time frame of 9 to 12 noon and no one called me to say they would be late. I called the office at 11:49 am and they said the tech would be another 45 minutes. I had already taken 1/2 day off work and had to leave. Rescheduled for next day and tech called when he was on his way. He said there would be a trip charge in which I stated I would like that waved since I waited 1/2 day for him yesterday. He argued with me and I called the office in which no one there was capable of handeling the solution to help me. They wouldn't give me the owners email and they wouldn't refund the trip charge. Poor customer service! My dryer is still not fixed! I will not use them again. Customer Service is key in any business. more

After booking an appointment with two other services that neither showed up or called, I finally found Corlew. The tech was having a bad day with a previous customer and didn't make it to my house until 6 on a Saturday. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher and soon had me back in business. I recommend Corlew to anyone in the area. Don't bother using Ely or Kevin Grace. more

My mother-n-law recently had her dishwasher serviced for a spring problem on the door. Some how during the service water escaped behind the dishwasher and under the hard wood floors. The next day she noticed it , called Corlew informing them of the problem. They brought out fans saying it should be ok after a few days. Well , it warped the floors and now Corlew is saying it was not there problem and implied my mother law was lying about the problem. Unbelievable!!! more

The staff is very smart about helping their customers find the correct part for the problem. They were able to tell me exactly what I needed for my washer. I have never purchased an appliance here, but I will if the need arises. more
