I was so excited to try the Cork House - the 5280 deal was wonderful and the food sounded great. I was mistaken. While the server was friendly, it took nearly 20 min. to get our...

Worse than bad! 6/16/2006

They were out of our first two wine oders. Everthing took forever. Staff was not knowledgable of wines or menu items. Food tasted like cork. Not reccomended. more

I LOVE This Place-Hot Spot for Business Women!!!! 3/19/2006

I am so glad I discovered this place on Citysearch!!! First, this place has the BEST happy hour in town!!! $3 top shelf martini's people!!! Great appetiser specials and I met other professional women who stop in daily after work. The staff was very helpful with my wine selection. Finally, what a great place to unwind!!! Check it out once and you'll be back with all of your friends and co-workers guaranteed!!! more

You would think they would have wine 'in stock'!! 3/8/2006

Great ambiance, Poor service, waiter did not know about any of the wines and couldn't recommend anything on the menu, except for 'his favorite'. The bottle of wine we did try to order was out of stock. The food came and was extremely bland. They don't have salt & pepper at the table, we had to get the pepper grinder/sqweezer from the kitchen. They were out of 2 of the desserts on the menu and the creme brulee that came to our table never set so it was as runny as soup! Definately SAVE your money!! Pros: ambiance Cons: lack of knowledge, bland food, wine stock more

What is going on with the Cork House??? 1/21/2006

We went there in November and the food was wonderful. The buffalo carpaccio was amazing, the lobster & crab stack was decadent. It was an excellent dining experience. Then we went again last night and the food was mediocre at best. The ahi seared tuna was cooked all the way through (no pink in sight), the lobster & crab stack became some sort of dish like nachos with crab & lobster on top. The wine was great but they need to go back to the old menu with was more refined and less like bar food. Pros: Good wine selection, Reasonably priced Cons: Average food, Poor parking more

Why is this place named the cork house?!?! 1/20/2006

We waited 15 minutes before anyone even came to our table. Once our waiter came over, it was 10 more minutes to even get water because there were no clean glasses. When ordering wine, we asked the waiter for a suggestion, but he couldn't even give us one because it was a new wine list.... this is a WINE restaurant named the CORK HOUSE! Each course took FOREVER to arrive and the food was below average, especially for the price. We were just trying to make the best of it, and decided to stay for dessert, since we had already been there for two hours, we ordered a creme brulee and banannas foster and were told they were out of banannas and the creme brulee was made wrong that night. (The most information we recieved from the waiter all night) With that we took the check. We won't be returning. Pros: quaint, location, fireplace Cons: service, timing more

This is a terrific restaurant! 4/29/2005

This restaurant has it all -- great food;knowledgeable, amiable and prompt service; and a comfortable atmosphere. I am vegetarian and the waiter suggested a combination of dishes that was second to none! My husband's non-vegetarian meal was terrific too. Can't wait to go back- Pros: Great service, Good for vegetarians, Elegant more
