Copenhagen Scandinavian Furn

This company has apparently gone out of business and I discovered this in the most unpleasant way-I never received the furniture I ordered and I have not received a refund for the $1020 deposit I'd paid. I called the store--no answer; I visited the store--it is now completely empty.\r \r I'd actually ordered furniture from this store before, and while it took a very long time to receive the items (4 months in one case, 2 in another), I never expected that the store would just disappear into the night. I did receive a letter two months after my order, which explained their difficulties with their shipping company in Denmark and promised to get back to customers with the status of our orders, but no such update was provided. \r \r A very maddening situation . . . I am now in the process of trying to have the money refunded through my bank's arbitration. If anyone else has had a similar experience, my sympathies to you!! Whatever you do, don't buy furniture here. We purchased $6000 in furniture - including a special order sofa on Jan 21st. We were told it would take 16-20 wks to deliver and they would contact us. Of course no one contacted us so we started to call the store. It is impossible to get anyone to answer the phone during business hours and I actually had days where I would call the store over 20 times and still not get through. Finally in July (22 weeks later) we were told that the sofa shipped and it would be another 4 weeks or so... THAT WAS A LIE! The sofa never shipped, it was never even made! We spent from late June to early August trying to get an update on the sofa and when it would be delivered and the so-called manager MIA would not return my call. So finally in early August I started asking for my money back because they said the sofa was going to be delivered sometime in Nov (yeah right). Well it took another 4 weeks to get them to credit my account after being lied to by Mia the manager that she had sent a check to my house. I had to enter a dispute with my credit card company and finally I got my money back but of course they had 9 months of interest for nothing. This place is unbelievable- SHOPPER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! Cons: Not honest, terrible communication, don't answer the phone during hours, can't track their orders to provide updates more
