If you're on the lookout for a something your kids will really get happy about, but hate Chuck E. Cheese, then Cool de sac is the place for you. My children (two boys, 4 and 7) have been members almost since the first day the doors opened and they want to go back again and again.\r

The activities are all designed to stimulate creativity and interest. Toys are the building kind (Lego, K'Nex, and a new kind they added last week), the craft area is fully stocked (glue, glitter and all), and the dress-up area has a wide variety of girl and boy costumes. Computers are no cheap PC's but large-screen Macs loaded with fun educational software in favorite Nick Jr. characters. And get this, for grownups, WI-FI IS FREE, so you can work (or surf eBay
) if you have to, while the kids have a blast.\r
\r
But best of all are the KIND young staff who attentively help your kids have as much fun as possible (Andre is a real gem). You can literally sit back and watch your darlings have a grand old time.\r

WHAT PARENTS LOVE: The kids' menu is packed with hidden VITAMINS that your kids will devour without even noticing. And the grown up menu is sophisticated (seared tuna salad, three kinds of unbelievably good humus and wine by the glass are just the beginning) and completely delicious! Try getting that at Chuck E. Cheese. The service is good (ask for Michael) , the kind you'd expect in a good cafe.\r
\r
SAFETY IS NOT A CONCERN: Kids and parents are wristbanded with matching bands so kids can only leave with the matching parent. Plus childless adults are not allowed in the front door, no matter how much they claim they are only coming for the gourmet food.\r

This place is a really great idea, executed with thoughtfulness and creativity. Bravo, Cool-de-sac!
Pros: Both your kids and you want this badly.
Cons: They haven't opened up the other locations as yet.
