Dr. Dawson has been my 84-year-old mother's doctor for 20+ years. He has consistently shown a personal interest in her both as a person and as a patient. He takes the time to listen to her, talk to her, discuss options for medication or treatment as appropriate. As her memory has begun to fail, he has (with my mother's consent) worked cooperatively with family members to keep us informed about changes in medication, treatment, or other concerns. He refers my mother to specialists as needed, and maintains a comprehensive file of her treatment by other doctors. Dr. Dawson is a caring and knowledgeable general practitioner, and I feel very lucky that he is my mother's primary care doctor.
