ALWAYS LOVE IT HERE!!! 12/13/2008

I have been going to Concord Hair for the last 3 years. I am also in my early 30's and consider myself very trendy so I am not sure what the prior reviewer was talking about. I have gotten everything from my weekly manicure/pedicure to my monthly cuts here for the last 3 years. My stylist and the overall staff here have been nothing short of excellant every time. I have always recieved the cut and style that i wanted for one of the best prices in the city. Def. priced right compared to some of the many others! i have also converted my boyfriend to coming to concord for his hair cuts lol. I would def. recommend this place to anyone who wants great service at a great price. Pros: Great cut/style and one of the best priced salons in nyc. Cons: Atmosphere a bit noisy! more

unprofessional and cheap quality 12/5/2008

I just moved to the area and wanted to try this place out for a quick blowdry but I was basically forced into a haircut. Well one hour later and $70 poorer, I left with an uneven, no style cut. I would have rather be left with my split ends. At least I had some sort of style before. I should have known since there were a lot of ""older"" clients and stylists there when i happened to walk in. Basically i wouldnt recommend this place to a trendy, young person. Pros: everyone was nice Cons: stuck in the 80s more

Great Salon 11/13/2008

One weekday I had a very important appoitment on Lexington Ave and needed to quickly get my hair done. I accidently ran into Concord and was greeted by a welcoming staff. The wait wasn't too long and luckily I got a very experienced and friendly stylist. I got exactly the hair style I was looking for! The prices were reasonable and not what I expected from a Midtown NYC location. Overall it was a great experience. I highly recommed this place. Pros: Friendly atmosphere, skilled workers Cons: loud music more

great results 10/15/2008

I recently moved to NY so I've been looking for a good place to get my hair done. After doing some research online, I came across concord hair salon. I decided to check it out since it seemed like a pretty good place, not too expensive and close my apartment. I got a color, cut and style and it turned out amazing (definitely exceeded my expectations by far!). Overall it was a great expereince and very affortable. I would definitely recommend this place. more

great highlights 9/24/2008

I decided to check out Concord hair design studios at the last minute to get a haircut and add highlights before my weekend getaway. I was a little doubtful at first since it's always pretty scary trying a new place but I decided to check it out anwyay since it's so close to my work and i didn't have a lot of time. Let me tell you: they did a great job & it wasn't overpriced like every other nyc hair salons. And I didn't have to wait very long. I got so many compliments on my hair that weekend with everyone asking where I got it done. I think I found my new salon! Pros: they take walk-ins & great highlights Cons: staff speaking russian to each other more

MY HAIR IS a FRIED...BURNED...DISASTER 7/10/2008

I tried this disaster of a salon just because it was cheaper than the other salons in the area and I'm telling you guys, pay the extra $$$ and get your hair color done somewhere else. I got my hilighights touched up and my hair literally was fried. I have a ton of breakage around the front of my face as well as extremely dry hair. The worst part of it is the fact that my hair has an orange residue instead of my usual blond. I dont know what bleach they used on me but I know I will never be back. I read some of the other reviews and I must agree that the salon is on the NOT clean side and the peope are so rude. Nobody even cared how I felt about the color or the damage it did to my hair. They actually said it looks great and looked at me as if Im crazy. Concord seemed to have forgotten that Im the client here and I think I know that my hair is not supposed to be yellow-orange and burnt. Perhaps the cuts here are better but I am too scared to try. Pros: cheap Cons: bad service, talent, products, staff... more

GREAT SALON AND OVERALL EXPERIENCE 6/18/2008

I normally never take the time to write reviews but after reading some of the negative reviews, and trying out the salon regardless I could not help myself. I am certain that the negative reviews written here are a mistake and have to be about a different establishment. With that being said, I had a very pleasant experience at Concord. The staff is very friendly, an professional. The salon is very clean and trendy and has an amazing variety of heir products to chose form. Most importantly i got exactly what I wanted GREAT HILIGHTS and CUT. The prices are very reasonable and for anyone who thinks they are high has obviously never gotten their hair done in the city. Over all I would recommend this salon to everyone an anyone. Some of my friends have gone since then and have ALL been very happy. Pros: Atmosphere,Service more

Great service 3/16/2008

I am going to this place for 15 years. People are very friendly and very professional. My stylist name Tanya and she is the best. She always knows what you need and how to make you look better. I would never trust anybody else with my hair either it is a haircut or highlight she does everything with style. I have to travel to New York and make appointments in advance but it is really worth it. Salon itself is very clean and everybody very polite and pleasant starting with receptionist and ending with a shampoo girl. Concord is the place where you can trust that customer is a priority and that they will do everything in style and to your satisfaction. I would strongly recommend this place. Pros: Real professionals Cons: No more

AMAZING SALON, AMAZING SERVICE 2/21/2008

I was highly recommended Concord Hair Design Studio from a friend who has been recieving haircuts there for 15 years now. This was my 3rd visit to this salon and i must say how pleased i am with the services Concord provided. The salon itself is very clean and trendy and the stylists are very friendly as well. Highly recommended to all. Pros: expirenced stylists, service, product selection Cons: far from my office more

Worst hair experience! 12/12/2007

I went into concord to get a quick haircut after work. I heard some bad stories, but I figured Id go in and give it a try. When I entered the salon, it was in total dissaray! There were magazines lying everywhere and the floors were full of hair. The receptionist at the desk gave me a problem because i did not have an appointment scheduled. My cut came out horrible because my stylist didnt understand what I was telling him. I will never be back there again! Pros: Nice Windows... Cons: Dirty, rude staff, cheap service more
