If I could give no stars, I would. They are unethical and Dr. Pilversack lacks compassion and any moral compass. Money is his priority not your pet.

Do not take your animal here and if you do avoid Dr. Pilversack at all costs! 8/1/2012

Best clinic in Portland area by far 1/4/2012

I have had three animals and we go to this clinic for every issue we have ever had. I am just writing this to thank the staff and vets for treating our babies with care and respect. We board here too when we travel and our pets almost hate to leave when we pick them up! more

Money vs Care 12/1/2011

I agree ! The bottom line seems to be the important thing at this clinic now and not the care of your beloved pet as in the past. I and my pets love the vet but things have gotten out of hand where costs are involved. It really is a shame that things have changed so much at this clinic. more

DO NOT take your pets here please!!! 12/30/2010

This is on the Hillsboro Companion Pet Clinic Took my 12 week old puppy in for a simple Hernia Operation and they SPAYED HER. They said I knew this all along and discussed it with me which they NEVER DID. Even called me a liar and said she would not be able to be bred anyway. So in a sense they took it upon themselves to make sure she would not breed pups with "possible" hernias. My research shows different. Besides that (and all reputable Vets knows this) females should not be spayed until they are between 6-7 months old! DO NOT TAKE ANY OF YOUR PETS THERE! more

Uncaring 11/11/2010

The Vets here are money grubbers, they do not care about your pet. Only about the fees, and every time insist on a new exam fee, stating, that was then (60 days) and this is now. I would nver return to them for care. Lynly more

very disappointed 9/15/2010

Have been a Companion customer for over 15 yrs. In the last couple yrs this one in Hillsboro seems to have changed. They tried charging me for services I didn't need several times. The last straw was when they way over charged me for the euthanasia of our cat. Afterward I questioned the price and I was told by one of the receptionists that I should have asked the price before having my cat put down. That way I could have walked out with my dying cat in my arms if I thought the price was too high. It took 6 phone calls over the course of 2 weeks to finally get a call back from the vet who did the service. It turned out he is the owner and he told me he can charge anything he wants. I called around and found that the most expensive place in town was $40 less than them for the exact same service. That was at a place who had never seen my cat and they said it would be $35 less if they had history with the cat. I took my records from Companion and have switched to another vet. Will never go there again. more

Doggie Medical Care 12/29/2005

The first thing I noticed when I went in was that this place was immaculate, a real feat when you consider how many humans and animals traverse their floors daily. The next thing I observed was that there was a side for cats and a side for dogs, a good thing when you have giant canines like I do who enjoy chasing kitties. The staff is very sweet and really seem to love animals. My dogs felt right at home there. They were attentive and got me in a timely manner without an appointment. The doctor seemed young but knew what he was doing. My dog never felt afraid or alarmed during his vet visit, which is a first. If I had any friends that needed care for their pet I would definely send them to Companion. more

They are very caring! 9/23/2005

We used to have two dogs when I was younger. We always took them to Companion Pet Clinic in Hillsboro. The staff there was very kind and caring. They kept excellent records, billed us correctly (which seems to be pretty rare now days!), and the atmosphere was very professional. The clinic was always very clean. Our dogs eventually passed on and I haven't been there since, but I would highly recommend their services! more

Fido will Thank You 8/14/2005

Companion Pet Clinic is a great place to take your pet. The Vets there talk to you and give you options with your pet’s healthcare needs. The positives couldn’t be expressed enough with good prices (compared to other clinics who are double what they bill you), friendly staff, and good treatment of your pet. They also offer boarding for your pet at a reasonable rate. more
