This Comfort Inn is a great stopover when you visit Mayberry - on the same road as the Andy Griffith Playhouse! Waffle House just down the road, and lots of fast food and sit-down restaurants on the same strip. The Inn offers a continental breakfast and the rooms are clean and pretty quiet. It's where I send visiting relatives who can't hang with our guest-cabin. Comfort Inn is way better than our cabin! The prices may seem a little pricey for the rural area but Mt Airy (Mayberry) is burgeoning and the place is a standard - you know what you'll get and you won't be disappointed. Pretty easy parking. Near Gaunce's cafeteria which has live bluegrass music on Saturday nights!
