Quick Review - Great value, very clean, wonderful staff, will be our go-to pet-friendly hotel in the Youngstown area!\r \r Long Review - Our daughter is a student-athlete at YSU, so we are in Youngstown regularly, and have been staying in hotels in the Youngstown area 6-8 times a year for the last two years. Our ""regular"" hotel is the Hampton in Boardman, which offers a discounted rate for families of YSU students. For this trip (our daughter's birthday) we decided to bring our 6-year-old golden retriever. Only a handful of hotels in the Boardman area allow pets, and based on TA reviews, none seemed to provide an acceptable combination of price and quality. The reviews on TA for the Comfort Inn in Austintown looked good, and the price and pet fees were both very reasonable.\r \r Room - Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. I requested a room that did not face the highway, and he gladly obliged. Room faced the courtyard/pool, which was nice and quiet, and actually would have probably been a great place to hang our had it not been the dead of winter. Maybe another time. Room was spotless!! I cannot emphasize enough how clean this property was. After seeing some traveler photos of other hotels in this price range, I was really nervous that we would be dealing with rusty bathroom fixtures, stained linens and carpets, and peeling wallpaper/paint. We opened the door to the room, and all worries immediately disappeared. Room was well maintained and very clean. Everything worked. Bed was clean and comfortable, shower was hot and had great pressure. Even had a multi-setting shower massage head. Flat-screen TV, microwave, fridge. Our daughter decided to spend the night with us, so I set up an inflatable mattress. Room was plenty big for this. I asked the desk clerk for a set of sheets and a blanket, and he quickly and happily brought them to the room.\r \r Staff - I encountered several employees in the time we stayed - desk clerks, maintenance personnel, breakfast attendants, and housekeepers. All were extremely friendly. Very good staff!\r \r Breakfast - Another pleasant surprise. We actually went out for breakfast, but I did take a look at the breakfast setup, got some coffee and ate an egg disk and sausage link. The breakfast is just as good as others I have had at hotels costing twice as much. Offerings included cold cereal, fruit, assorted pastries/bagels, oatmeal, juices, yogurt, make-your-own waffles in two flavors, and the aforementioned egg disks and sausage links. Very clean space, very friendly attendant, and nice selection.\r \r Pet-friendly - The area had just received another significant round of snow, and with a dog, I spent quite a bit of time tromping around the courtyard in it. The pet fee here is very reasonable, and the courtyard is a nice area to take your pet for his business.\r \r Summary - As I mentioned in the title, I think this property is worth every penny. There's nothing I like more than a great value, and this property is definitely that. So good that my wife and I have already discussed making this our new ""regular"" hotel, even when we don't bring the dog. more

We have used this property before and are not disapointed, will return when in the area. Just the right distance from CT for the first stop, and leaves a short enough drive the next day. Always had an interior court room, clean, comfy, quiet enough, friendly staff, good breakfast. more

I especially enjoyed the pool. There were many families staying there and all of the children played together, shared toys, helped each other and it was great to see so many age 10 and under children with manners, respect and concern for others. Some of us were the grandparent(s), others were parents. Breakfast was outstanding. Everything was clean and comfortable. Also enjoyed the lending library - and now I need to go somewhere so I can exchange my book! more

The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in :) Staff was fantastic! We were there for a baseball tournament and it was very centrally located and had lots of great food options. Would stay here again! more

I have stayed here a couple times previously for family reunions. It has always been an acceptable hotel but they have redecorated and done a wonderful job. The staff is also very friendly. It would be nice if they could reconfigure their breakfast area because it gets very crowded in the morning. more

Our room was comfortable and we were glad that we did not have to walk through smoke filled areas to get to it (like at many motels). The exercise room was small but nice after a day of travel. The pool looked refreshing, although we did not have our suits or time to use it. The breakfast was adequate and tasty. More gluten-free options would be helpful for those who are gluten intolerant. The only negative thing was that the bathroom was very small and the sink and mirror were outside the bathroom so there was not any privacy there. more

Late last week, I booked 2 associates at Comfort Inn and Suites Austintown /Youngstown and was extremely pleased with their feedback. They enjoyed the hot breakfast, nice pool, along with the close proximity to the casino. Over the years hotel prices have gone up, however was really pleased with the going rates for this hotel along with the amenities offered. more

This is in a perfect location for our regular stopover between Iowa and Conncticut. Economical with decent rooms, great beds and pillows, and the all-important good breakfast on site. Nice pool, too. Front desk people have always been just right with speed of service and answering questions. more

My family is on a road trip and so we had no reservations. But they had it clean and ready when we booked online 3 hours earlier. The bath tub in room 155 has a couple cracks but it didn't bother me. It just caused a little concern. Staff was incredibly friendly, lobby was beautiful, and there was a bunny in the grass :3 it was adorable. It is was surprisingly very quite with the interstate being really close to it...We got a two room suite for $90.00. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Ohio more

Quiet and Clean 5/30/2005

I recently stayed at this hotel when my niece's were visiting. I needed some extra sleeping space. The lobby was tastefully decorated and the rooms were extremly clean. They had waffles for breakfast and we enjoyed them very much. I thought the rate was resonable, they had wireless internet. I wish they had HBO. Overall it was a good stay PROS: quiet, clean and resonible CONS: outside property, no HBO more
