They are more interested in your wallet than repairing your car. Dishonest, poor communication and lack of follow through define their business as a racket. They will string you out and milk you dry as they give excuses why they can't complete your repairs. Read the other reviews, they are honest as Lance Armstrong. more

I love this shop!! Every time I bring my car in, I am taken care of immediately! It kind of reminds me of Cheers (where everybody knows your name!) Most of the people I speak with while I am waiting on my vehicle, have been going there for years and years, and they wouldn't take their cars anywhere else. It's definitely a place that I would like to hang out after hours! \r \r Everyone is so respectable, and they go out of their way to make sure my car is safe to drive when I go out of town. I always leave with a smile! It's small businesses like this one that I choose to support, America is becoming so faceless, and customer service is a thing of the past. That's why I am so grateful when I come across a little mom and pop shop like Colvin Automotive. \r \r How often do you see the owners actually working out with the technicians. I definitely recommend this place. You won't be disappointed!! more

WORST AUTO SHOP IN AUSTIN 5/24/2011

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER TAKING YOUR CAR THERE! I am retired military and they've taken every bit of my savings. They've taken 3 years (since January 2, 2009) to complete rebuilding a classic car for me. The original quote was $6700 for a paint job, then they determined it needed new parts, then more new parts. They ""lost"" thousands of dollars in parts that I had to replace and now they are billing $47,000 for labor. That's 470 hours and the car is not anywhere near completion. They charge $90 per phone call inquiring about the status and refuse to discuss it any other way. They may have restored a car for Lance Armstrong, but provide nothing but lies and extortion for more money for the regular folk. empty promises, empty wallet, no car = MAJOR LITIGATION as they have left no alternative. more

avoid this place 2/23/2008

It took them 7 days to give me an estimate (it was too expensive). I didnt want them to proceed. It took me three more days to get my car back. They charged me $750 and this is only for inspecting the car to give me a quote. Cons: too expensive, too slow more
