Good Food 2/25/2011

The food was absolutely good ole fashioned cooking. On the day I went, I had baked chicken, greens, mac-n-cheese and potatoe salad. It was all good! So glad I finally stopped in and will definitely be a regular. Keep cooking that good food! more

Great restaurant and service 5/21/2010

Some friends of mine have gone there several times. The chief cook and bottle washer.(She does everything.) is wonderful. She takes the orders, cooks the meals and serves you with a smile. The food is great. I love it when she has fried green tomatoes.. I've had the stuffed chicken more than once and it was great. She needs to be on Guy Fieri's Food Network Show, Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. The only thing I would say is maybe make the rolls from scratch. Still, it's a great restaurant. I wish she were in Wake Forest. more

Another place for Louisburg to be proud of... 8/17/2005

Reminding you of Andy Griffith's Mayberry, the Cola Cafe has a commendable menu, including a basket of fries to die for, fabulous hot-off-the-grill cheeseburgers, and even more interesting items such as turkey sandwiches you'll think came from the deli on a New York street corner. Tucked into an old retail space with rustic wood floors and giant fans whirring to cool the place from its steaming grills, the Cola Cafe is a definite stop in the downtown Louisburg experience. The service is pretty slow, but with the made-to-order menu and plenty of newspapers laying around, you won't mind the wait. You may even run into the mayor--or at least the infamous Franklin County Rescue Squad. Free refills on drinks, too. more

Retro-Themed Cafe 7/12/2005

I entered this cafe once to buy milkshakes with my brother. I liked the retro atmosphere when I entered. As we waited for our milkshakes (we had to wait a little too much with no one there but us), I stood there looking at the big selection of Coca Cola collectibles. I also looked at the menu. They had burgers, fries, hot dogs, milkshakes, etc. Everything you would find at an American-Style cafe. more
