Best damn coffee, period! 10/3/2010

I understand that the owners wanted to sell the Portland locations, but man I'm ""jonesing"" for a true coffee fix! My favorite location was the one in NW Portland accross from McMenamins. This summer it was cool to still see a Coffee People at the airport, but it's not too convenient for everyday folk, who aren't traveling. Bring back Coffee People in Portland to other locations - YUCK to Starbucks!! more

FREE WIFI!!! Super nice girls working there, good drinks, good music playing, very chill, never a bad experience. Pros: nice employees, quick service Cons: parking spots on street only more

With quirky music playing..it could be Disney tunes you can stop in, grab a stool and enjoy drinks like my favorite the slamma hamma and always topped with a chocolate covered coffee bean (heaven). While reading the many local and diverse newspapers you can sip your joe and watch the colorful Portlanders go by. more

Coffee people is now owned by Dietrich's coffee and is not locally owned but Dietrich let's them do their own PDX thing so all is well that ends well more

Best By Far 8/27/2002

Best place for a real latte' or espresso. Coffee People's beans are not burnt and bitter tasting, but rather, smooth and tart. Their Black Tiger Espresso has more caffeine than the regular espresso bean and their large gives you 4 shots, not 3 like the nation's top barista. more
