Great typical neighborhood bar 12/1/2009

I lived in the neighborhood in the '60s and it was a regular stop on the way home from my office. Always a great stop after dinner at Ostaria Nonni (now closed). Usually some interesting neighborhood folks. Pros: Betty and Bob are both sweethearts. Cons: We live in Pasadena more

WARNING: Expensive Dive Bar! 11/11/2007

There are certainly 500,000 better bars in the world where you can drop $23 for 4 bottled beers. The bar is a dive bar; and i love dive bars; but this is not a place where they should be asking for these prices. \r \r 2 New Castle bottles ($5 each), 1 Stella bottle ($5) and 1 Guinness ($7!!!!) poured form a can should not be this expensive. with tip; TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS! come on man.\r \r the bartenders were nice enough but as a self proclaimed silver lake hipster i will be enjoying my expensive drinking habits elsewhere. Pros: Near my friend's house Cons: Outragous Prices for beer!, Cash only, no backup music if you don't pay to play the jukebox more

This place is GREAT! 8/22/2005

The bartender is awesome. The atmosphere is mostly locals and a few young hipsters. Great place to hang out and have a drink or two! Pros: friendly, cheap drinks Cons: cash only more
