Good croud, but mediocre music and bar. I wouldnt recommend it to friends.

i went here on a saturday night and all was well, good drinks, some cool people but now i'm here today seeing that the bartenders have taken it upon themselves to add extra tip to my tab! I tipped with cash that night and know for a fact that i scribbled out the "tip" area on the receipt and wrote in the total amount, there is no way that could be confused. This has really steered me away from wanting to go here ever again, if you do choose to party here i suggest paying with CASH to keep from getting unexpected charges to your credit card!!! Cool club! 3/27/2009

After reading several reviews, I felt like it was my turn to impose my most humbling opion! One could asume that most of these reviews are writen while still frustrated and intoxicated! I have party in most of the states, while you party you are social y interacting, most of the time while social interacting not every thing will go your way. With that being said just because your experiance was not a five start experiance, does not make it a one star experiance! It should take several differant factors to take away that amount of credibility. Please by all means before you write your review KNOW the facts. There are not multi owners. There is one owner Scott very busy but a very nice guy. He owns multiple companies and still took the time to give me tour of his club. There are some realy cool facts about this place. CLUB MANHATTAN IS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO GO ON A FRIDAY IF YOU LIKE RAP AND DANCE. THE DJ IS DOWN TO EARTH AND THE BARTENDERS ARE HOT AND SWEET. YOU DONT WAIT TO LONG FOR HELP. THE SECURITY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND THE STAFF NICE. IT LADIES NIGHT ONM FRIDAY SO IF YOU GET THERE BEFORE 10:30 GIRLS FREE DOWNSIDE TO FRIDAYS ARE IT STARTS LATE PEOPLE DONT SHOW UP TIL 11:30 THEN IT GETS PACKED FAST AND YOU HAVE TO LOOK FOR PARKING... Best martinis and long islands... packed on Friday night 7/31/2007

This is a real night club. Great music... packed ( when they are open) and really good drinks that wont break the bank. I just moved here from New York and this is the ONLY club Ive seen worthy of calling itself a nightclub in SLC Pros: Great drinks and music. Owner is a cool dude.... The Manhattan Club was talked up by a friend of mine, but the place was absolutely dead. It was a stinky little rat hole with elevator jazz music and about 5 patrons. I will NEVER go back. Cons: no parking, reeks, stupid more

Italian food is horrible 1/13/2003

The club was pretty lame, then again it was a weekday. But we had some Italian food and was that a mistake! Way overcooked and soggy noodles doused in liberal pools of oil with flavorless spices, stale bread, flat water, and non-existant service. If you decide to check this place out, stay away from the bistro. Pros: no waiting, semi-cute waiter Cons: bad food, bad service, expensive more

I finally turned 21 and got legal ID and everything and was so excited to start touring the SLC clubs. We ended up downtown last night and went here-Ive heard so much about it I was expecting something but no way no how. Dead and boring and like everybody else is saying rude men and mean staff. This is a lousy alternative to the other clubs in Salt Lake. I went on three different nights, and the staff were crap. Went after movie 11/11/2002

We went to this club after a movie to get in some dancing but it was a zero. We ended up in the back just throwing down until the staff hassled us so we left. I won't be going back here and you shouldn't either. Cons: rude staff, slow mix more

Club Manhattan is literally two blocks from where I live. Doesn't that sound great? A club within walking distance from your place? Well, it's not, unfortunately, because Club Manhattan is the worst club, the most dismal spot, in all of Utah. I'm used to the lame SLC scene. This is worse by a factor of a bazillion. The Manhattan is lame. more

The Hat has been going DOWNHILL for a LONG time now. The place is still OK, but something is wrong with the staff--they just keep getting more and more rude and snotty. After yet another round of the "move aside for the VIP" thing last night, I've decided to not go back. I'll take my stuff someplace else--who needs a crap staff? Not me!     The Lineup
    The Manhattan rotates an exciting mix of house, hip-hop, disco and R&B music throughout the week. The club gets packed on Fridays, with DJs Sam-I-Am and Ed spinning underground and popular hip-hop. The crowd is just as party friendly on Saturday nights, when DJ Birdman lays down the best party hits from the '70s, '80s and '90s.
