“Cliff’s Car Tech is a husband and wife team who has excellent relationships with its client base for over six years, since we have been in operation. We often change out our kiosk sign board to reflect love for what we do for our clientele and with a bit of humor. Although, one of the comment posters (Tommy H) took offense at that humor, we meant no such insult.\r \r Realizing that diagnosing a repair is not as simple as pulling a repair code from the auto's computer, many people do not realize that to ascertain a correct diagnosis our mechanics must delve into the situation to garner an accurate assessment of what is actually needed for a repair. Our attempt at bringing humor to an often unpleasant situation, was our way of positioning the value of what we bring to our clientele. We do caution every customer and attempt to educate them on the dangers of quick assessments to help them avoid costly mistakes that come from “free assessments”, that aren’t so free when it gets down to it. We are very interested in becoming a trusted advisor to your repair needs and work hard to do so. Get to know us and you will love us. We build trust, one client and family at a time.”\r Cliff & Teri Smith more

I would strongly suggest not doing any business with any ""repair"" shop that has listed on their marquee"" Free Diagnosis"" and underneath that ""Correct Answer $89.00"". I am in the customer service industry as well and that is extremely condescending and arrogant. \r Any person with any intelligence knows that you can go to Auto Zone, O'reilly, or Advance Auto Parts and they will put in the code reader and actually tell you what the check engine light is saying for free! To say the ""right answer"" is going to charge you is insulting, condescending, and arrogant. I would strongly suggest this establishment change their marquee yesterday!\r I do my own repairs, my dad trained me as a mechanic as he worked for a dealership for over 15 years, and this is ridiculous. I haven't had any work done here and never would if a business would display a sign like that. That is extremely arrogant, condescending, and honestly 100% inaccurate. more

Cliff's Car-Tech is Great. 7/23/2011

I generally do not write reviews, but read them and find them very helpful. However, I was considering writing one for Cliff's Car-Techbecause of the excellent service I have had when I ran across one stating these people were liars, thieves and racist, I felt I had to write. \r I or my husband have brought my cars and my parents car to Cliff's. I have noticed with myself and other costumers that they are completely honest, even when they knew that information would likely lose the job. One example was a young lady who brought her car in for a repair and inspection. It was an older model car. The young lady was informed that the car could be repaired to pass inspection, but that it had other problems that were going to cause her problems. He could do the repair for inspection, but told her that she needed to consider whether if the car was worth the cost now and the further costs that would most likely occur later. I do not know if she had the repairs or not, but I do know when more

Thieves' Lair ! 6/18/2011

First of all I just want to say that I am a Christian, a Caucasian white male and a father of two, foreign born, but an American citizen for over 10 years, I have a Law degree in my native country and I speak 5 languages (English with a accent, a key factor in my story )I mentioned that because most of the people would be fooled by the 5 stars reviews that everybody knows are "made" and written by friends and family. Don't let yourself fooled .Definitely I had a lot of better things to do than writing this review. But simply somebody needs to stop these thieves from predating on other consumers. My review it's very simple : RUUUUUUNN and don't look back. They are simply the classic "bait and switch" shop who would take your shirt of your back for a simple repair. Like a wheel alignment in my case. Long story short, dropped the car at 8.30 AM in their shop for a simply wheel alignment being told would be done in a couple of hours. Around 11am I called the shop to give me an estimate. more

My review it's very simple : RUUUUUUNN and don't look back. They are simply the classic ""bait and switch"" shop who would take your shirt of your back for a simple repair. Like a wheel alignment in my case. Long story short, dropped the car at 8.30 AM in their shop for a simply wheel alignment being told would be done in a couple of hours. Around 11am I called the shop to give me an estimate. They told me that they didn't find anything else wrong with the car and that the alignment would cost me around 68 dollars. I agreed to the price (high but still acceptable), I politely thank for consideration and asked when would I be able to pick up the car. ""Will give you a call in a few hours"" ...was the answer. I need to mention that all this dialogue was made with the wife of the owner, the source of evil in this shop.Around 1.45 PM on that day I called again to inquire about the status of my repair. And here starts the disaster.......I am told by the same wife (where was the mechanic ????) that they had to make ""some""changes in my initial diagnostic, BS-ing me with technicalities that had nothing to do with my car, and now the new estimate would be around 440 dollars !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I let you judge this ""establishment"" Obviously I realized immediately that since I speak with an accent, they thought I am stupid enough to pay that ridiculous amount for a job that takes maxim an hour of labor.I was so upset that in less than 15 minutes I was at the shop , picked up the car and drove it half a mile down the road were they fixed it for me for $ 42.75 !!!!!!! A fraction of the astronomical cost these ""honest"" people .And the car runs like a new !!!!!! I admit that I made a scene in the shop, it was 2 PM in the afternoon, car still not fixed and was asked 400 dollars for something that was done somewhere else in 45 minutes for less than 43 dollars !!!!!!!!!!! The owner got the nerve to write me a message in my facebook account with threats and discriminatory words. Well at this very moment The General Attorney has my official complaint about all these, including the discriminatory treatment ( if you are not white and speak with an accent you're doomed if you repair your car there), I have a friend who works for the IRS and also asked her to help initiate an audit of their books ( $40 to $440 seems like money laundry to me ) and also filled an official complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair and Better Business Bureau because we need to stop these vultures stealing hard-earned money from people in need. If you need prove of my repair done for less than 43 dollars please send me an email and would be more than happy to mail you a copy. Don't even blink not to mention think , to use Cliff's Car Tech to fix your car, you might as well buy a brand new one and still would cost you less !!!! more

Highly Recommend 3/13/2009

I grew up around a shop because my dad owns one, and I can tell you that I have been screwed around by and my cars have seen many dishonest mechanics.\r Several people I know told me that Cliff, the owner, was good and honest. I took my car there when I had 3 different problems going on and Saturn was screwing around and charging high prices. With the economy and GM's current financial issues, I didn't want to take it back to Saturn, so I had Cliff look at it.\r For a considerably less diagnostic charge, he found a short in the steering column which he said would have been the cause of all three problems that my car was having. He also said that it would need to be fixed by Saturn because the steering column would have to be replaced and programmed. He said he could replace the part but it would cost me more in the long run and I would have to have the car towed to Saturn for the programming. He also looked up the part and estimated the cost of repair from Saturn and when I called Saturn to get a quote found that Cliff was dead on.\r I will definately take my car back to Car-Tech of Langham Creek! He does have integrity and doesn't recommend unnecessary work but does give you his best recommendation, even it if means lost work for him.\r I Highly Recommend taking your car to Car-Tech. Cliff is a Master Technician...in every sense of the word... Pros: Integrity, Cost, Word of Mouth recommended more
