Best

I have to say that I am a little bit shocked to read all of these comments about Dr. Clayton and her staff at Cary women center. I had been going to Dr. Clayton's office for a fe...

Worst

I loved Dr. T and Dr. F at this practice, and was saddened when Dr. Tahtawi left. I stayed at CWC b/c I really liked Dr. Flanagan, too, but she was very hard to get an appointment...

You deserve better care! 11/13/2008

ALWAYS behind schedule; office staff and physicians have argued in my presence during an office visit; staff seems over-worked and angry; don't have their stuff together - almost gave me the wrong injection (depo instead of hpv vaccine!); were very insensitive and dismissed my concerns when I went for surgical follow-up. Some of the physicians are nice and seem to care, but overall the practice is terrible. more

Please do not go here. 11/5/2008

This was the worst Doctor;s office I have ever dealt with. The office is dirty and unsanitary and the nurses are unattentive and extremely rude. They didn't even know what procedure I was going in for. The Doctor was in a hurry and did not take her time to allow me to ask questions. I had several medical issues I needed to take care and could not get anyone to call me back once I left. As a matter of fact, they still have not responded to my calls. Do yourself a favor and find another practice please. more

Horrible 4/24/2008

They are very rude, insensitive, and all seem so angry. Not to mention the wait is unbelievable. Once you finally get in to meet w/ the Dr. don't dare ask any questions because they will dodge the answer and act annoyed by you. They made me feel like a number, not a person and I will never go back. How can anyone trust such so called Dr.s with any sort of medical care? I sure don't! more

Cannot recommend. 3/21/2007

CWC is a horrible practice. Now granted I left this practice after my twins were born four years ago, so maybe they have made HUGE improvements, but personally, I cannot recommend this practice to anyone! The times that I visited, the front office staff was unknowledgeable at best, rude at their worst. The Drs. put me on bedrest, but then made me wait for up to 1hr. in their waiting rooms, for my weekly check-ups! Now I can understand emergencies & backed up appt. times, but this was EVERY time. Fortunately, I asked a high-risk Dr. to consult on my case as well, so I ended up seeing him whenever I felt that CWC was not doing their job. Thank goodness i did. With his help, I carried these babies to term, but only b/c i did everything he said to do and nothing that CWC told me to do. Unfortunately, I had to let Dr. Clayton (McCaskill back then) deliver my twins, and what a joke! No bedside manner, left after the delivery of my first son, when she didn't come back fro quite a while, my husband had to go get her to bring her back for the delivery of the second one, no reason for why she was gone, nothing. Cannot recommend this practice AT ALL! more

I LOVE CARY WOMEN'S CENTER!!!!! 3/16/2007

I can't believe these horrible things that I am reading about CWC! I absolutely love everything about them! Their office is ANYTHING BUT DIRTY! Their doctors, nurses, receptionist, billing people and everyone else are so INCREDIBLY AWESOME and HELPFUL! They answered all of my questions to the extent of their knowledge, and were always available to help me when I needed help. When I had my 2nd child when I was only 30 weeks, Dr. Flannigan rushed in and answered ANY and ALL questions that I had. She was very knowledgeable, and ALWAYS asked me if there were any questions that she could answer for me. She held my hand when I cried about having to have my little girl 10 weeks early. She coached me while in labor, and checked on me a couple of times before she left the hospital. She even CALLED WAKEMED RALEIGH several times to CHECK ON MY PREEMIE!!! Sorry, but you all are wrong about Cary Woman's Center! Anyone reading these reviews... do go to CWC! They are unbelievably awesome, and the doctors are superb! I live in Garner, and will continue going there, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT! Even if I moved to Dunn or something I would go there! more

THE BEST OB/GYN'S IN THE WORLD 2/1/2007

I WANT TO SAY THAT I FOR ONE ABSOLUTELY LOVE DR. FLANAGAN AND DR. TAHTAWI. THEY HAVE DELIVERED 3 OF MY 4 CHILDREN AND I SEND ALL OF MY PREGNANT PATIENTS TO THEM. I HAD COMPLICATIONS WITH ALL OF MY PREGNANCIES AND TO BE PERFECTLY HONEST WITH YOU WAS PROBABLY A VERY FRUSTRATING PATIENT. IF I WAS DRIVING THEM MAD THEY NEVER LET ON. MY HUSBAND WAS AT EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY VISITS AND THEY MADE HIM FEEL LIKE HE WAS GOING THROUGH THE PREGNANCY TOO NOT LIKE HE WAS JUST A SPECTATOR. I SWEAR BY THEM AND IF I HAVE ANY MORE CHILDREN THEY WILL BE THE ONES DELIVERING MY BABY. LUNDI LITTLE-DANIEL more

I have had more than 10 years good of experiences here! 12/15/2006

I was so surprised when I read another review of this practice! I have been going to Cary Women's Center for over ten years and have total faith in them! Having been through 3+ years of infertility, 1 miscarriage, 1 pregnancy with pre-term labor contractions beginning at 20 weeks and now another pregnancy with preterm labor contractions beginning at 16 weeks, I trust them wholeheartedly! In fact, so much so that I moved from Cary to Wake Forest 6 years ago and continue to go back! That means a 45 minute drive depending on traffic. Yes, that is a long way to go, and there are perfectly good and competent dr's between here and there, but there, I know that I will be taken care of. I have always gotten very good care there. With the preterm labor, both with my last and this pregnancy one, I have received, what I consider to be very conservative care from these Doctors and I am very thankful for it! I am on bedrest, early on, I would go to the office during the 2nd trimester to verify I had not begun dilating twice monthly, now in my third trimester, once a week. I have ultrasounds once a month to check on the baby's growth, in case he is early, we know better what to expect and my cervical length. At 24 weeks, I was given the steroids to help my baby's lungs develop in case he is premature. Again, may I say how surprised I was at reading the other review... I have total faith in the Doctor's at Cary Women's Center and will continue under their care as long as I live anywhere in this area. more

Not very pleasant 11/21/2006

I have only been once and will never go back. I went just for my annual exam. First, the waiting room was dirty and littered with papers and torn magazines. Not really a big deal, but worth mentioning as an indication of further things to come. They took me into the back to do the usual pre-exam things, blood pressure check, weight check, medical history, etc, however, this was done in a large room with 3 other patients present having the same thing done. Not really my idea of paitent privacy. The exam went fine, the doctor very briefly mentioned something during the breast exam about a lump in my breast and I said, that yes, I just have always had lumpy breasts. I go to check out, and they hand me a referral to a BREAST SURGEON. I nearly fell over from the shock. She never once mentioned anything about going to see a specialist or that I needed a biopsy or anything. I had no idea why I was being referred to a breast surgeon. To top it off, they would not go get the doctor to explain this to me, I had to wait for the doctor to call me later that day to explain it to me. She was not very forthcoming in why she was referring me to this specialist and left me feeling that I needed to make the appointment she recommended for a mammogram (at age 29) and the appointment with the breast surgeon just to make sure that I didn't have aggressive breast cancer or something from the way she was treating me. Luckily, there was nothing wrong, but what a way to treat a patient. Needless to say, I will never be going back and never be referring anyone! more

Horrible, Horrible Experiences. 8/6/2005

I was going to these doctors for a while. With my first pregnancy, I experienced MAJOR complications and delivered at 28 weeks. They didn't take my pre-term labor seriously until I was in active labor. And the nurses at the office told me I wasn't having contractions unless they showed up on the monitor. Fast forward to pregnancy #2. They performed unnecessary surgery, doing a cerclage, saying I must have an Incompetent cervix. Never followed up with ultrasounds to measure cervical length, or do other testing. They decided I had to spend hours every week attached to monitors doing fetal stress tests without ever telling me WHY. It was a MISERABLE experience. Pregnancy #3. IUD in place. Not removed immediately, contrary to ALL other medical advice. They suggested to me at least three times that if I wasn't totally delighted with the pregnancy that I could terminate.. Um. No. They failed to do the "confirmation" of my pregnancy until I was 16 weeks, so every weekly visit to that point was treated as a specialist visit, costing me $$$. Then they were charging me every other visit during the pregnancy as something OTHER than maternity visits. I guess it was a lovely revenue enhancement scheme on their part. Needless to say, I finally wised up and switched doctors, and the difference between them was astonishing! NOT WORTH IT! Stay away from this practice!! more
