Warning - don't buy full price tickets 10/12/2010

I puurchased full price tickets ($40) and then recieved an email from this company offering me tickets at half price ($20) for the same tour on the same date. When I called to either get a reduction on the tickets I bought, or at least get credit with the company, they said no. They explained that they ALWAYS have discounted tickets so they ALWAYS reject requests from people who had the bad luck to buy full price tickets. So don't buy full price tickets - you'll be on a boat with people who paid half as much as you. more

Thanks Giving 11/29/2007

I have gone out before with this company, and have always enjoyed myself, but this year I spent my holiday Thanksgiving dinner aboard the Yacht Manhattan. It was one of the most heart warming experiences that I have had in a long time. The yacht was warm and cozy. The food was delicious and plenty. But the thing that stuck out most is how this company created an atmosphere that felt like family. I was sitting down at a table that had other couples at the table...at first I thought this was intimidating, but within minutes, everyone was laughing, and I felt like I was in the company of friends from the past. The crew had smiles and helped with whatever was needed. This experience was beautiful. Who knew, Thanksgiving on the water in manhattan. The views were stunning. This company has my heart, this is what companies should be like. A half hour into the cruise the boat turned around to go back to the dock to pick up some later comers...we all cheered as the couple jumped aboard....I have never had a company care so much about helping their customers..THANK YOU CLASSIC HARBOR LINE...I am looking forward do cruising more with you, and I am looking forward to having a new experience when your schooner comes down. Pros: Friendly, trained crew, amazing plently food, comfey cozy atmosphere more

Great experience, rain or shine! 1/1/2007

We went on a brunch sail on the yacht Manhattan for New Year's Day. Despite the fact that it was raining and the fog was as thick as pea soup, we had a fantastic time! The brunch buffet was pretty good - hot quiche, sausage, and waffles, as well as salad, fresh fruit, smoked salmon, bagels, etc. more than I expected from the description on their website. Even the coffee was pretty good. There is also a full bar - I only had one drink, so I'm not certain if more than one drink was included in the ticket price. Pros: Nice boat, good food, good staff, good for couples or groups Cons: Foggy day more

So Much Fun 11/13/2005

About 10 friends and I went on the evening boat ride to celebrat our friend's birthday. We didn't rent the whole boat out, but we were able to sit together and it worked-out great. Everyone loved it (even those who were skeptical at first). The $45 fee was worth it especially since you get beer/wine included (although the service is not very speedy so don't expect to get more than 3/4 drinks). We brought our own cheese and crackers which made the experience complete. The views were amazing. I would highly recommend. Pros: Fun, Worth the Price, Great Views Cons: Slow Drink Service, Need a Reservation more

NYC classic yacht harbor cruises aboard "Adirondack" and "Manhattan"

Owner Message
  • Built in 1994 in the Scarano Boat Building of Albany, NY, the Schooner Adirondack is an 80-foot wooden replica of a classic turn of the century pilot schooner.

Heading south from Chelsea Piers and down the Hudson River to Battery Park, Schooner Adirondack passes by Ellis Island and sails out to the Statue of Liberty. Wind and time permitting, she will head toward Governors Island, breeze by the Financial District and the Brooklyn Bridge on the East River.

The 1920's style motor yacht "Manhattan", also built by Scarano Boat Building, is brand new to the New York City Harbor as of spring, 2006. This 80-foot, wood trimmed, Gilded Era commuter yacht runs full circumnavigations of Manhattan, dinner cruises, sunset cruises and is available for private charter.
