A safe place to hang with friends is not allowed 2/22/2011

For a long time malls have been a place where people go to and shop or meet up and have a good time of fun and enjoyment. I did not know that at Clackamas Town Center you could not enjoy having the company of friends. My group of friends has been going to this mall for awhile now and been enjoying it; yet it seems that the security see it not fit for teenagers to stay there. We buy cloths and accessories. Plus eating the food they supply there every time we visit. Recently one of the stores we go to and buy from do not like us coming in. The past few times we have gone in they look at us as if we are criminals. Not once have I ever stolen from there. I can't even pick up a bow on the rack and look at it without the workers eying me like a hock. Well we wont be going to that mall for a long time. Looks like Lloyd Center will be our safe haven from now on. more

Incompetant security 12/11/2010

I had always felt fairly safe at Clackamas Town Center. I did not like the old town center, but since then, they had rebuilt it to make it better. However...\r \r I was there one day, and could not get home. The security said that a taxi could be there in one hour and half. I wanted to get home. They told me my bus would be there in seven minutes. (Unfortunately, they read the moring times.) I asked them if they would be able to contact someone that could come and pick me up. They refused. It was cold, it was dark, and it was wet. They wanted me to leave. I ended up walking home. \r \r I will probably find a new place to shop. I don't think security knows what they are doing. I fell in the mud and sprained my ankle on the way home. \r \r Also, just thought I would comment on what Bootsy said about the ""slimy kiosk vendors"" It is true. They are aggressive. more

slimy kiosk vendors 8/6/2009

There are some great new stores, and fortunately you do not have to access the mall to access these new stores. In the core of the mall the kiosk vendors are rude, intrusive, and have changed the experience for me. They are agressive and step in front of shoppers, interrupting conversations, make snarky remarks, and so on. One particularly eager vendor waits outside of major entrances, no where NEAR her Dead Sea cart, to try to nab shoppers. I encountered her outside Penny's. Avoiding eye contact does not work- they are so persistant they will come right at you, forcing interaction. Mall security fines them $100 per documentable incident, so you can email Paul DiMarco at clackamastowncenter. to report which cart company accousted you, and he will levy a fine against them, but as it stands now, they consider it part of the cost of doing business. Maybe if enough people start reporting, they will get the hint that this is unacceptable. Pros: revamped, new stores Cons: gauntlet of agressive kiosk vendors more

The power went out. I couldn't do my christmas shopping. and They wouldn't refund my money for the movie I was 1/2 the way through... 1/2/2008

One the Saturday before christmas I took my disabled mother in a wheel chair, my three year old who was riding in her lap, my five year old and my seven year old to the mall to finish up the christmas shopping... My mom can walk short distances but not stairs etc.... Well we went through the bottom portion of the mall and when we went to the top I figured I would treat everyone to a movie... about 1/2 the way through the movie the whole mall lost power.... I had to stand in line for 45mins for some assistant manager to tell me he didn't care that I had come over 80 miles to get there (from Cascade Locks) he would not refund my cash.... He gave me a 'rain check' that expired in one year.... So agrivated form that I tried to get my mom out of the mall in a wheel chair... I had rented one there since I was anticipating not having enough room to bring hers... I had to get to the first level of the mall so I could get her ID back... and to get to my car... they made me leave the wheel chair 1/2 way through the mall and then I had to go all the way to JC penny's with my mom and children walk down the escilators and then back 1/2 way through the mall to get her license back... This was very hard and long process... The kids were fussing and my mom almost did not make it.... She has been very ill ever since... NOT at all a pleasent process... Pros: was nice starting out Cons: no fall back for disabled, no service skills amongst the staff more

It's a good mall 11/19/2006

Clackamas Town Center is a good mall. They definately have a lot more stores than they used to several years back. I really like the fact that they have a lot of department stores. The shopping is reasonable and it's not too hard to find parking. Pros: A lot of department stores, good customer service more
