Cityview Care Ctr

My 77 yr old neighbor was in city view for 5 mths.We found him filthy, hungry, naked on the floor with not one piece of his clothing in the room. His room mate said he had been on the floor for hours and couldnt get help for him because he too was unable to get out of bed and their door is always shut.He always had feces and uriune dried on the bed. My neighbor had to have help to get out of wheelchair to go to bathroom.I watched him asked 3 nurses to help all 3 said no just pee in your diaper. They kept everyone in diapers if they couldn't do for them selves even if they wanted to. He was on Lasix! Food was Like Crap.I went and helped other elderly because no one would come and help them. I counted 70+beds on one wing with only 1 aide during the day. They would put him on the toilet and shut the door and leave him for 30 min or longer and he fell at least 3/4 times injuring his back head elbow. It was so bad that I and my husband brought him home and take care of him ourselves. He's doing great!!! more

If I could give this nursing home and rehab less than a 1 star I would. My mother was at Cityview Care Center on Bryant Irvin for a while and we couldn't have moved her out of their any faster after the poor care she received. My mom was constantly on a antibiotic for a UTI because the CNA's were not giving proper pericare. They were wiping from back to front. They were not properly repositioning her while she was in bed and her skin began to breakdown due to pressure sores! The food is absolutely terrible. The building is very deceiving and the employees will act on their bestest behavoir around family, but the minute family leaves they start talking trash to the resident and then piss poor care ensues. The place is absolutely filthy. I watched a CNA wipe up feces from the carpet with a papertowel and then it was just left. Same fece stain was still there 3 weeks later. No disinfectant was used. I complained to the people in charge there and of course they were apologetic and overly nice but the problems did not stop until I called DADS on them after I moved mom out. By the Way, Department of Aging and Disability Service phone number is 1-800-458-9858 for reporting any complaints against a nursing home. The nurse's have filthy mouths and are racist. I heard one of them yell one evening to another resident, ""Well you can just continue to yell then. I don't care"" as a resident was yelling from their room and crying. The list can go on and on about what I saw and heard. The building may look nice but it's all a rouge. The nicer part, #2-4 is for rehab and people with insurance, money, and medicare. The people on #1-3 have the older, runned down rooms and a employee told me it was Medicaid. Isn't that segregation in a way? more

My Mom has been there for 3 weeks and they have been wonderful to her.She loves it there I have seen no evidence of any mistreating of patients and I am there almost everyday and seen nothing like that at all.My Mom says the cooking isn't all that great.but we can bring her things to eat.I have ask her time and time again how they treat her and she says they treat her very very well no complaints whatsoever.I have seen with both eyes wide open they have always been kind to my Mom and to all my family and me,she could not be in a better place as far as I am concerned.If my Mom is happy then so am I. more

Don't let the surroundings fool your. It is a beautiful place but it is very decieving. The care here I would not hire to care for my dogs. I have had to speak the the Administrator, Assistant Administratr, Head of Nursing and the Head of Nursing for my Mom's floor to get things done. Not only once but twice. The staffing is horrible, the food is an hour and a half late and nothing works. Rain dripping from holes in the roof, toliet paper holders off the wall the list goes on and on. I could go on and on but I hope this is enough information to discourage people from bringing their loved ones here. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE FOR ANY REASON. I only put a rating on it because the site made me. I would not even give it one star. Cons: EVERYTHING more

We took my mother there after orthopedic surgery of a hip and knee therapy. Both the orthopedic surgeon and hospital recommended the rehab. We were very pleased with the care and the therapy was outstanding. The nurses and their assistance were grate they really cared for my mother. The therapy was able to work with her and got a lot of her strength back. The place was kept clean but, the food needs some work it was ?hospital like food?? We hope we don?t have to go back, but we would pick City View Care Center again if we had to. Pros: Nursing Care and Thearpy Cons: food needs some work more

I would not recommend Cityview Care Center to anyone. They are careless in distributing the patients medications ie they gave my relative someone elses medicines. The care takers are rude and disrespectful and treat their patients like they were small children instead of adults. Their accounting / billing department can't seem to bill their accounts correctly and they send letters threatening to turn you over to a collection agency before they even send you your first bill. more

This facility mistreats its patients. They are very disrespectful. This care center does not test its employees for substance abuse. Volunteers for the care center often report to state about nurses mistreating the patients. I personally would not put a loved one here. more
