Our company paid for a listing on Austin Citysearch for the minimum 3 months. We were encouraged to set a higher ceiling, with the understanding that we would probably not get that many hits to max out our budget. They used reports that they said were from companies like ours to compare the number of likely hits.\r
1) It was difficult to get them to get the information reported the way we wanted. We were told it was their computer systems defauls.\r
2) We went over budget every month.\r
3) Sometimes we still did not come up on the first few pages.\r
So we cancelled.\r
After we cancelled they put up a picture next to our company listing, that had been on our website. This picture is a 15 year old picture of one of our junior staff & is really goofy looking. I emailed city search and asked them to remove the picture. If it were of our owner, that would be different. 3 weeks have gone by and the picture is still up.\r
After two weeks, I emailed the account rep from when we had the paid listing. No response. Picture still up.\r
Today I called the Austin Citysearch phone number listed. I got a machine directing me to an 800#. I called the 800#. It is impossible to speak to a person.\r
This picture did not go up until after we cancelled our contract.\r
After 9 emails and multiple phone calls, the picture was removed 2 months later.\r
Retaliation? Prove me wrong.
Pros: Pull info for a pretty good siet AT FIRST.
Cons: too expensive, no follow up support, impossible to a person
