I and a business associate went here on Friday March 1st, 2013 for lunch after a meeting we had in the diamond district with a client. It was a place he had seen and wanted to try since we both agreed we wanted a more healthy bite to eat rather than the typical steakhouse lunches we are accustomed to doing. Let me start by saying the aesthetics of the restaurant is nice to look at and comfortable to sit in. The host seems professional but very business like - no ""Mr. Congeniality""; but I can accept that as it is not necessarily a popularity contest pursuant to ordering food in a restaurant. Hey, he could have been having a bad day or something traumatic happened in his life before he came into work or while there. \r

We ordered off the lunch Prix-fixe menu. I ordered Appetizer: Chilled Sewansecott ""Virginia Salt"" Oysters On The 1/2 Shell (4), Entree:Maryland ""Eastern Shore"" Crab cak(e) with Late Harvest Corn & Sun-Dried Cherry Relish and Dessert: Our Real Florida Key Lime Pie, Drink: Iced Water. My associate ordered Appetizer: Baked Mid-Atlantic Oysters And Crab meat Rockefeller (2), Entree: ""City's"" Down East Lobster Roll with Homemade Fries & Cole Slaw and Dessert: Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie, Drink: Pelligrino . The wait was a MINIMUM of 30 minutes for the food to FINALLY come out of the kitchen. When the food finally did come out we were both amazed to see ONE SINGLE crab cake on the plate. In my entire life of ordering Maryland Crab CAKES, I have yet to ever see ONE SINGLE Cab cake come out on a plate and be defined as an ENTREE and NOT an appetizer - nor specified on the menu as they have for the clams and oysters are on the menu for their appetizers. My associate looked at me and said ""Are you sure that is enough, and you do not want to order something else additional""? Based on the time it took to bring out our initial order, I was fearful we would be there all afternoon and never return to the office in a sufficient amount of time. Keep in mind I am an active 6 ft. 2 inch male diner weighing 210 lbs! After taking 2 bites of the Crab CAKE, we decided he was right and asked the busboy to call over our waiter so we could place another order without waiting another 30 minutes. After our busboy could not find our waiter, he called over the pleasurable host, and I told him to place another order for the Maryland ""Eastern Shore"" Crab CAK(E) with Late Harvest Corn & Sun-Dried Cherry Relish. Surprisingly, this time it seemed to take approximately 5 - 10 minutes for this second order to come out of the kitchen. We also noticed that the staff for a ""lunch time"" crowd seemed insufficient for the amount of diners that were in the restaurant at the time. One of my little test i use to determine god or great waitstaff and service in a restaurant is how attentive the waiter is to refilling your glass with ICED water when they see, know and realize that THAT was your drink of choice for your meal. I LOVE and CRAVE ICED COLD NEW YORK CITY tap water (BEST tap water in THE WORLD!); and had to signal for the waiter EVERY TIME that I wanted my glass refilled - AMAZING! The dessert of the key Lime pie was the HEAVIEST use of lime (our SOURNESS) that I have ever tasted in the eating of Key Lime Pie! It was really inedible. \r

Bottom line, this was a business lunch between two associates, IF this were a personal lunch with my wife or wife and son, we would have really NOT been too pleased and would have most likely walked out based on the mere waiting time for the food to initially come out and the arrival of one SINGLE Crab CAKE. I highly doubt I would ever enter the threshold of this place ever again. \r
