Don't even think about it! 4/29/2010

If you're considering moving here, don't! Save your money and go somewhere else. The new managment is two-faced and unreasonable to work with. The laundry room never seems to be working. The maitenance crew is lazy and incompetant. The other tenants are hit or miss nice. I've seen nice people like me, but I've also delt with absolute a-holes. If you want expensive city living at it's finest, this is NOT the apartment building for you. There are MANY others in the area that are better quality in every way. This was the most expensive mistake of my life living here. If I could move out earlier, I would! Pros: exposed brick Cons: everything else! more

It is unfortunate to hear all of the negative comments about a community that I once loved. I few years back I was the maintenance person for these two buildings. I remember things differently than it seems the current picture is being painted. Our onsite manager was awesome; she honestly cared about the people as well as the staff. The cleaning person that turned assistant manger was also fantastic and seemed to grow tremendously under the manager?s guidance. We went through two people in the concierge position while I was there. One person ended up getting promoted to manger at a different location. I do not know how else to describe this person except as pure cool. His replacement was also a great guy and went out of his way to help the residents. I was the typical young maintenance person and both of these people accepted me as part of the team when it was more than obvious that I was not quite of the same social standing. I remember this team as willing to do anything for a resident and remember them as family. We all seem to have gone our own way, and while my career has gone well, I have never been part of a team since that felt more like family. The City Hall Square Apartments was an awesome place to live and I hope it still is as my step daughter is currently looking for a place. I went out of my way to not list any names, but if you were part of this group or lived in the buildings roughly seven years ago; you may know what I mean. I find it hard to believe and sad that a rock solid community and service oriented management team could have slipped as far as so many postings on so many sites are describing. hvacgod39@yahoo. c o m more

It could be nice , but it isnt. 6/9/2008

This could be such a nice place to live. Unfortunately, its slowly being trashed by the drunk idiots that live here. Not to mention, the office has decided to not turn on the A/C yes even though temperatures have reached dangerous levels in the apartments. They have a room full of decaying garbage and the building now smells like dead horse and fetid vegetables. The elevators reak of mildew. The office has left some stupid note about waiting for the temperatures to stabilize. Well, a quick call to an HVAC specialist proves this to be a bunch of B.S. This is nothing more than the property owners trying to save money. Although they raise the rent every year. The people here are afraid to move out because the women in the office are so hostile, they will lie and charge for damages after giving a good move out report. One girl lost her deposit for the smell of cat urine, she didnt have a cat, ever. Odd how the building has an ammonia cat urine smell now, since its 95 degrees and humid. What a disappointment. Do not get trapped here. If you leave, you will be sued and they will try to damage your credit. Its not worth it. more
