Worst mgmt of any Cinemark theater 10/9/2010

These cinemark theaters are common throughout the country. However, this Pflugerville theater has the worst managed, nastiest restrooms, and poorest concession service. Evening concession service is consistently the worst. Apathy seems to be a job requirement across the board. Whoever puts up money for these theaters, place high value for the great audio/video systems. Unfortunately, those same people are clueless when it comes to hiring operating management and their corresponding staff. more

Times 2/6/2009

Times and shows are not printed in the newspaper. There is no easy way to get this information. When reading the newspaper you look at the shows and times. There is no going to sign in to a computer and boot it up. No calling and spending 30 minutes trying to get shows and times.\r \r The infor should be printed in the newspaper. more

I have seen dirtier, but thats no excuse. 10/7/2008

I went to this theater not too long ago. I wnt into mens restroom and (this will be had to believe) even I was stunned and I am not easily shocked, there was feces smered all over the stalls and wall. the smell was unbearable, not to mention a sanitation issue. I alerted the manager, and to their credit, they promptly closed down restroom, apologized and cleaned it. The seats in the theater have black marks( whoever sits in them, must not bathe) when the lights comon you can see the dirt.\r I just go to this theater because the shows are usually later, close to my home, and more selection of movies. The pizza place that also sells ice cream needs to be open later. The kind of people that go here are annoying, they clap during the movie(who the hell does this? no one can hear you, its not a live theater.)\r There is a lot of parking, and unmarked security, due to attempted past break ins. I think the management does the best they can, its not their fault the kind of customers they have are dirty and dont wash theirbutt. Pros: Movie selection, attentive managemnt, pizza , ice cream Cons: dirty, dirty customers, low end people go here more

Sticky mess of a movie theater... 7/27/2008

The Tinseltown Pflugerville theater is the dirtiest theater short of a dirty peep show or a dollar theater in the Austin Metro Area. The front concession area is filthy! The counter tops are sticky, floors are littered (both on the worker and the customer side). The pimple faced geek working the register was rude and SLOOOOOWWWW. The manager walked through the pile of garbage (aka the floor behind the counter), and never made eye contact with any of the customers, didn't express any concern for the filth, talked jokingly to a couple of the employees, and walked back to his hole. \r \r The theater was awsome too (sarcasm)! There was trash in the cupholders and on the floor from the previous showing of ""Journey to the center of the earth"". We caught the mid-day matinee (3:45 showing). The theater was uncomfortably warm, smelled bad, and just dingy. The restrooms where ok - just old I think. Other than that, the movie kinda sucked (but at least it sucked in 3-D). \r \r Last thing! The whole first impressions thing... The young lady at the ticket both should probably think about a career change. She isn't exactly charming or in any hurry... and what the heck is up with all these folks bringing tiny children/babies to a movie theater? Keep them at home until they can learn to be quiet! Shhh, junior, shhh, junior, shhhhh, shhh, shhh, junion, shhhhhhhh, (wahhh, wahhh, the whole movie). Take his little a** outside until he can be quiet... more

Horribly smelling restrooms for both myself and my husband at this theater 4/6/2008

This is the first time my husband and I've been to Tinseltown and may be the last thanks to the horrid smell of urine in both the women's and men's restrooms. There was toilet paper all over the floor in the women's restroom and either water or urine was all over the floor in the stalls. My husband said the only problem in the men's room was the same urine smell. The theater itself was pretty clean. The employees were friendly and the service at the counter was quick. The popcorn was entirely too salty. Like one of the other reviewers, I like the location but am willing to drive a further distance to attend a movie at a different theater.\r Pros: Large selection of movies/plenty of lighted parking/ friendly staff Cons: restrooms reeked of urine more

Try to avoid 7/12/2006

This movie theater needs to make some adjustments to their facility. It seems that no matter what theater you go into here and in the hallways, it smells like sweat or urine. I understand that it is a large place that numbers of people flock to, but that is inexcusable and dirty. Also they do not clean up their concession area. It's not just dirty during a rush, but it's also dirty in the middle of the day. I like that this place is close to home, but with the conditions the way they are I'm willing to drive the distance to another movie theater. Pros: Lots of parking and good lighting Cons: Theaters are dirty and smell bad more

It can be better 6/16/2005

Movie selection, parking, and really everything else is very good. The only thing I didn't like was that the last two times I went to watch a movie, I got broken seats. I mean they where damaged, unconfortable, I am sure that is something easy to improve. Pros: parking, movie selection, athmosfere Cons: seats more

Concessions 7/8/2003

This is one of my favorite theatres to see a movie....good seating, good audio/visual, but it is impossible to get any concessions at almost any time in under 1/2 an hour and they have 3 seperate concession areas and a cafe! They need to hire more people and better people! They should also bring in a few ""good"" movies....There a several ""small"" auditoriums where they could show more ""arthouse"" movies. more

Good movies to expensive 5/26/2003

Why pay so much for these movies when you can go to Round Rock Movies 8 and pay less than half the price for the same movie. You have to wait in refreshment line for to long also. more

Uncomfortabe? No way! 11/18/2002

Look, this theatre does have some things they need to work on. Yes I do think their projectionists need to check on a movie after they start them. But calling the best seats in Austin uncomfortable, that is just plain wrong. Pros: Restaurant, Movie Selection, Comfort level Cons: Projection glitches, staffing more

BAD, BAD, BAD! 10/17/2002

This is without a doubt one of the worst theaters I have ever visited. The theater is fine for outside and lobby, but the auditoriums are what really count and they are the worst! I could care less about the size, but the seats are very, very uncomfortable and the front floor rows feel even worse. The last straw was when they did not dim the lights at the start of the film and I had to ask TWICE before anyone even bothered. I adhore this theater. Pros: parking, easy ticket purchase, arcade Cons: dimming lights, uncomfortable, bad employees more

Bring Your Cooler 7/19/2002

Getting to the theater was easy, getting the person talking on a cell phone to allow me to purchase a ticket was not too difficult, trying to get a drink is when everything came to a screeching halt. This was the first showing on a Thursday morning! What is it like on a Saturday? I will never find out!!! Service was slow and everyone looked like they would rather be someplace else. more

Oh My God!!! 7/2/2002

I showed up at 7:00PM to see The Bourne Identity at 7:50PM. Getting tickets was easy. That was about the only thing that was easy. I went to the concession stand to get a medium popcorn and a Large drink (this was approx. 7:03PM). I finally received my concessions at 7:45!!!!!! I love the movie selection at this theater, but that is about all I can say. Cons: Very slow concessions, moldy carpetting, bad attitudes more

Best run down theater in Austin 5/26/2002

I recently took my 3 year old to see a movie here - the place was a wreck. We were at a 9:30pm show for ""Spirit"" - the theater had not been cleaned since the last showing - there were cups in the cupholders and trash all over the floor. The seats in the back row of theater #9 were ripped open, exposing the foam cushions. You would think for the amount of money they make on these movies they could pay their people enough to care about the customer experience.Unfortunately it is the closest theater to us so we are forced to go there. Cons: dirty more
