The Cincinnati zoo is a great learning and fun experience for children and adults alike.They have a petting zoo, which my daughter loves as well as many other exotic animals to view. They offer food venues and gift shops .There is a lot of walking to do when we go so I make sure everyones feet will be comforable. The prices are good and they do at times offer coupons. more

Wonderful Zoo! 8/28/2005

This is a nice zoo, it's kept clean, the environment for the animals is good, and it's a great place to take your kids. My 2 year old son had so much fun here seeing all the different animals. He especially liked the opportunity to pet some of the animals and feed some. I was recently at the Bronx zoo, and this zoo is much better than that. Plus, the year membership is well worth the price! more

Cincinnati Zoo is Great all Year Round 8/21/2005

The Cincinnati Zoo is one of the oldest zoos in the country. They have many animal exhibits, beautifully designed buildings, and many types of flowers and plants. We never miss the elephant house where there are giraffes grazing out front in an area meant to resemble their natural habitat. One of the best parts of the zoo is The Festival of Lights, which is their holiday light display. They decorate the zoo for the holidays and have ice skating and visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. This is always a tradition for us every year. more

Good place for kids & gardeners 8/16/2005

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens is mostly known for its zoo. . . they do have a great variety of animals (including a really cool Insect World, and great variety of birds). But also have a surprisingly good botanical garden spread throughout the zoo. They have a collection of biblical plants, complete with Hebrew words. Biggest problem is they are way overpriced. The only economical way to do it as a family is to get the membership. And always shell out the extra bucks to park in the zoo's parking lots. . . local steet parking is not only hard to find, but risky, since there are a lot of thefts & break-ins in the area. more
