The manager who took our reservation over the phone happily accepted our reservation for 8 including a high chair for our toddler. The manager seated us at a large booth table. Quite unexpectedly upon being seated, the manager had the nerve to mention that Cibola does not usually "allow" any children under five into the dining room. However, there was already a high chair placed at our table!!?? He then went on to ask if our child was going to be well behaved This obnoxious manager obviously doesn't have any children (confirmed later when I told him how rude he was!). He later explained that "his partner" had taken the reservation and that he would need to talk about their "policy" of children with him later. WHAT AN IDIOT! We've eaten at very fine restaurants all over the country - way better than this place for sure and have never had anybody ever treat us so rudely even BEFORE there was any problem. We are very respectful and mindful parents who make sure our child does not disturb others (if we have to, we leave to take our child outside for a break). We were disappointed with the quality of the food too. The Arctic Char with white asparagus, pancetta and gouda sauce turned out to be poor quality farm-raised fish. The white asparagus was green and worst of all the "pancetta" was really barely cooked fatty bacon. WHAT A JOKE!! Hardly what you could consider gourmet food especially considering the price ($28). The server was excellent however which is the only good thing about this place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY on this way overrated highly undeserving place. Wichita has way better restaurants with better food than this place. Also, for any of you parents considering this place, you'd better make sure that the "management" can make up their mind about whether or not they "allow" children in or not.
