This wine store is a great little hidden gem in a converted motel. This was originally the cellar for the Chronicle restaurant, and when the restaurant closed, the wine store stayed behind and has been selling great wine at great prices ever since. The employees are knowledgeable and always willing to discuss the merits of the bottles they sell, offering advice and ensuring that you will make the right choice. Although they do have upper end wines, they also have a great selection of lower-priced (but not low quality!) bottles that are sure to fit into any budget. (PS Help them keep their prices low by bringing in any unused paper grocery bags you might have!)
