I just moved back to LA and was lucky enough to find Keenan. He listens to what you want and gives you great advice. After one haircut, I am loyal to Keenan for life. He is so friendly and he does a great job. He even cuts my bofriend's hair and it looks awesome. He has awesome style and he knows what he is doing. more

The best hair cut and stylist I have ever had! I have been going to Jared at Chrome for years and when he left it broke my heart but now he is back! And he is not only done such a good job on my color that all of my friends are convinced I have never dyed my hair but his cuts and styles are amazing! I have been looking for a new hair stylist for awhile now, as it was getting to be a bit much for me to travel from Santa Monica down to Seal Beach to get a haircut and color. It was especially difficult as my schedule was getting much too hectic, and rising gas prices was not helping at all. I tried a few local salons in Santa Monica but was never quite satisfied. I should also mention that I felt like I was paying an arm and a leg for a haircut...let alone getting my colored as well.\r \r So recently, a friend of mine mentioned she checked out Chrome salon in Culver City. She was very happy with her experience at the salon and highly recommended the place. I decided to check out reviews on City Search (she had done the same) and read review after review of all the positive experiences people had at Chrome salon. I was pretty impressed as it wasn't like there was a positive review here and there...Chrome Salon consistently received great reviews across the board. \r \r KEENAN's name actually appeared numerous times so I decided to take the plunge! I am usually very hesitant with my hairstylists as I have had one too many horrible experiences. The day finally came, and I walked into Chrome Salon. I had a VERY good and positive feeling as soon as I walked into the salon. A very cool, laid-back but hip feel to the salon. Once I was in his chair, I got the BEST vibe from him. He knew what he was talking about and was very knowledgeable about hair! Being a student and all, I was a bit scared that I was going to pay for a haircut that was going to be horrible. Turns out I was WRONG! I am so glad I sat in Keenan's chair today. Not only did he give me great advice about my color and the cut I should have, he was even SO generous as to give me a FREE color to help me ""correct"" my horrible at-home burgundy do! I would recommend Keenan any day! more

Keenan King is a master. He's been my stylist since he got his start in LA. I'm a performer and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. He's also a Bumble and Bumble rep and their products are great. Pros: easy parking and location; reasonable prices; no attitude Cons: the sushi place next door isn't always open ;) more

I love Chrome Salon! I have been going to Roger (the owner) for years and he is the only one that can color my hair within an hour and make it look amazing! I highly recommend this salon! You get a hip atmosphere without the huge price tag attached. more

Keenan has been advising me to change something about my hair for months. I refused to listen as I was getting positive feedback on my hair already. However, I finally decided to take his advice and wow what a difference! It was a minor change, but gave me major results. His service is always prompt, friendly, and super skilled with a style you can trust. It took me a long time to find a hairdresser who didn't damage my hair or give me a bad cut. Loved the salon. I was in and out... even though they took time to show me something new to do with my hair. Roger, the owner cut my hair - he was helpful and knowledgeable... his main concern is that I was happy - not getting to his next client! I highly Chrome. more

the salon was ok, my hair color is very basic, one shade but I understand my hair cut might be a little bit complicated... anyway I had read the reviews and thought I had finally found somewhere to call home. I went in 4 my appointment and waited for a while and then of course at the end the stylist was late for the next appointment (forgetting to cut random sections of my hair, I ended cutting on my own once home) and when I got to the register to pay I almost had a heart attack! with discounts I ended paying more than when I go to salons in Santa Monica or Ventura Boulevard! Next time I rather pay less and go somewhere fancier. Pros: looks modern Cons: pricey, small, no parking more

I loved my former stylist, but hauling my butt all the way to W. H-wood at rush hour was getting to me. I took a chance after reading reviews and called Chrome. I was able to get an appointment quickly without lots of drama. \r \r They are centrally located in Culver City and I enjoyed my experience there. Jared was a wonderful stylist, listening to what I wanted, did not want and how I am with my haircare (not too fussy.) He gave me a great cut, kept up fun conversation during the process and I walked out happy with the look. The woman at the front desk was friendly and efficient. All in all, I am very pleased with my experience and would recommend the salon to others. The only downside is parking.. street with meters...or perhaps across the street at Best Buy. In hair HADES thats where!\r I have been a client of Keenan's for almost 3 years, through at least 5 styles! He saved my wrecked hair on my first visit by listening to who I am and what I wanted in relation to my lifestyle.... then he politely informed me that I was just a liiiiiittle unrealistic and got me as close as possible. (which looked better than I had imagined in the first place) He also took the time to teach me to maintain my doo.. but quiet as it's kept.. his cuts are so precise that I can roll out of bed and rock it as is! By the time he pulled out the scissors I was so comfortable I actually read a magazine and let him work his magic. Im usually in the mirror watching every move with skepticisim and terror. Truth be told he had my hair looking so lovely that I was skipping down the street, flipping it in the breeze. (We wont mention the fact that I fell and busted my a$$... because I looked so great doing it! ) So far we have done a bob, a shag, a pixie, a natural, a spike etc. He does it all... MASTERFULLY. I dont even have to tell him what to do anymore... I just tell him what Im in the mood for, we chat it up and VOILA! SULTRY, & SASSY every time!!! I cant say enough good things about him as a person and I cant even begin to tell you how amazing he is as a stylist. Just give Keenan one try, you will NEVER let ANYONE touch your hair EVER again!!!! I've refered at least 5 or 6 clients of every ethnicity, hair texture and length....each has become a faithful follower. OH, and PS... not that I use his coloring services very often.. but I have seen him work MIRACLES on some tragic blondes who came from a much more *AHEM* ""exclusive"" salon where they paid way too much and went home looking like a burnt poptart. I was so nervous about getting my haircut (after a loooooong time of not setting foot into salon) and Keenan not only eased my anxieties, but hooked me up with a beautiful cut and style. My hair looks so gorgeous right now, all I have to do is put on my dress and head out for the night without worrying about my hair. Keenan is a true artist when it comes to style and hair and knowing what will work best for you. I came in with a tangled mess (from working on a film set where my hair has to be kept long and TEASED to the core!!) and he listened to me, cut it in such a way that works with my texture to make it healthy-looking and kept the length where it needed to be. To top it all off, he's easy to talk to, fun, stylin and TELLS YOU EVERYTHING HE IS DOING WHILE HE IS DOING IT. I've never had such a great experience getting my hair done. He took extra time to smooth out my locks and then took extra extra time to write down exactly what products he used on me and what he recommends. FINALLY!!! A superstar hairstylist (literally, he has styled famous tresses) in L.A. that is NO B.S. and actually cares about the client. Keenan rocks and I highly recommend him. Keenan at chrome salon is so amazing. I always go in with a kind of idear of what I want and I just tell him and he put his own spin on it.. He always has such a great eye for what will look good on you and what does not. If he thinks some thing will not not look good he will tell you but he will do it in a way that makes you fell so good. He is just amazing. I have never left unhappy.
