Knowing what I now know, I would NEVER AGAIN buy anything from any of the Christy Sports locations or their online store. Christy Sports, LLC has somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 retail stores between Colorado and Utah, mostly in the Denver area; as well as an online store based at their corporate headquarters in Lakewood, CO. How it works is all 40 stores basically share the same inventory. It's great for Christy's because they have 2 channels to sell the same inventory.
What people don't realize is that the inventory is constantly moving from store to store as the buyers shift the inventory around according to where they think certain items have the best chance of selling. The problem is: after all this shifting around, the inventory(brand new product) is no longer brand new. The hardgoods are the best example. Often the snowboards and skis end up pretty banged up by the end of the season. Christy Sports online will ship you a snowboard with scratches and scuff marks all over it and represent it as new.
I strongly recommend NOT purchasing from Christy Sports, and instead going to one of the larger, more reputable online dealers like Back Country. Also, some of the manufacturers are actually selling directly to consumers now.
