In a city where pretension and high prices are often touted as indicative of skill and quality, one has reason to tip-toe trepidatiously into a New York salon. Well, friends, Christopher Stanley salon will certainly put any fear to rest. \r
First, Peter is certainly not your average stylist--as charming as he is talented, Mr. Ripley is truly 'a cut above.' (pun-ny). He gave me the most glorious, natural and effortless blond I have ever ""worn."" And, while he acknowledged the not-so hot brassy sheen I was rocking, he managed to do so with grace, and avoid the ""omg girl who the f* does your hair"" kind of attitude. His skill alon would have alone impelled my return, but on top of his adept coloring technique, Peter is perhaps the most charming hairdresser I have encountered. He and his assistant, a glorious pixie thing, made the appointment time fly by. His assistant avoided the go-to vapid chatter, and instead offered a refreshing example of what a beauty school student should be.\r
All and All, great color, great people, a wonderful experience.
Pros: great color, great people, nice atmosphere
Cons: price is not awful, this is New York.
