Every year for 11 years, we've returned to Christine Meeker to record that year's changes in growth and maturity. We came upon her setup in Randall's with a 'fishing dock' scene. She always manages to have something new for my boys to pose in, with or around. Always. Many of our pictures are back & white then hand colored to make their beautiful blue eyes stand out. The sessions are always relaxed and fun (and usually include fresh baked cookies at the end!). I can't imagine missing a year or changing photographers. more

Christine has such a natural gift at photography. We went to her a couple of years ago for family pictures and every single one of them turned out AWESOME. She does not pose you, just captures your family (or your child's) interacting naturally. And the angles she uses to capture those moments are so unique. We had so many compliments on our pictures. more

We first used Christine when our oldest daughter was 3. This was our first experience with black and white prints with a touch of color. We did the same with our other two children and the studio worked closely with us to make sure these pictures were just like the first. Another time the studio printed a picture we had not ordered by mistake and allowed us to keep the print. Every experience we have had has been a personal one. They listen to what we want, take amazing photos, work with us to make sure we are happy with the final product, and have never told us they could not make it happen. I have used Christine Meeker 2 times now and every time her work just exceeds my expectations With twin girls that do not sit still she really knows how to get in there and take the picture fast and perfect Her staff is wonderful and so professional She is one of those photographers - especially with small children - that you can just sit back and relax - they do everything my girls look like little dolls in the pictures thanks so much Christine! I have used Christine for personal photos and family events for the last couple of years. She is simply hands down incredible. I have countless pictures that she has taken all over my house. Some of them have my daughter is posing...and some have that moment...you know that one...when your child is laughing or has that certain look that simply melts your heart. I consider my self blessed to have found her. And the staff are simply wonderful-love you guys! Plus my daughter goes to see her for the warm cookies and the ducks! I took my now 6 year old for a mini session when she was a baby and loved the pics. Now I have a 9 month old and recently took her for her 6 month pics. The staff was great and made me feel so comfortable, plus they were very accomidating with the baby. I had an idea of the pictures I wanted, but they added to that. Their studio is awsome! Lots of props to choose from with great backdrops. They are on a waterway and have a beautiful yard also. I had more pictures to choose from than I needed. When the pictures were ready, I went in for a preview session where they did a side show on a big screen to help me choose. After that, the one pic I wanted badly needed a little tweaking in the coloring and they fixed that up for me. Pros: great staff, excellent studio Cons: on the pricey side more

We LOVE Christine Meeker Studios. I would host photo events at my Clothing Boutique about 2 times a year with Christine and just loved how happy all my clients were with her work. I was thrilled when my now 4 year old son had his 1st photo shoot with her. Christine and all her staff are AMAZING. Everyone there makes you feel comfortable and right at home the moment you walk through the door. I recently took my 10 month old to the studio to have some photos taken and they were AWESOME. It was so hard to choose which pictures were coming home with us. There were so many that truly captured her personality. Very grateful for our wedding photos!! All of the ideas we presented for our photos were well received by Christine and Mark. We wanted to go to the Metro lightrail, a grafitti wall, our home, and we asked them to walk up a busy ramp near downtown houston to get our favorite shots. Absolutely nothing was refused and the Meekers shared in our excitement. We have the most spectacular pictures I could have imagined. I am 45 and my hubby is 48 so the subject matter was challenging :-) I have tried on many occassions to put 100 pictures in a book and there are too many favorites to choose from! We hired the Meekers for 7 hours to take our pictures and, after I did the math, I can account for a fantastic picture for every 1 minute they spent with us on our wedding day!!! Very grateful, and very much worth the $$ we spent for such a special occassion. Decide on what photos you want. Write it down before the big day and they will honor you. Christine Meeker came to TCH twice to take pictures of patients there and gave them 11x13 free. I love those pictures that now that my son is well I wanted new ones but with my son having cancer I could not afford the luxury of having Chrisitne Meeker take Dario's pictures. I emailed them and explained my situation which the totally understood because by the next day they gave me a response and gave great prices I could never refuse. The session was great. My son is hard to photograph because he does not pose or smile for pics but Christine Meeker made sure the girls on her staff whistled to make Dario smile. She was so patient and loving with him and us. I felt so much at home and I love all those beautiful spots to take pictures in. This was the best experience ever. When I got my pictures I was in love with them. Thank you Christine and Staff for everything you did for us. Those that write a bad review don't know what their talking about. I've done a few shoots with Christine (one of just my son, and one of my son & I together). I've booked my sessions using 'deals' offered by her former (possibly current, I'm not sure) alliance with Gymboree Play & Music stores in Houston. I paid a discounted session fee and got a free print on 1 occassion, and did a short 'mini' session for a discounted rate on another. Pros: Beautiful pictures Cons: Bring your retirement plan to pay more

I loved loved loved my pictures from Christine Meeker photography, but was really disappointed when I found out how much they were going to cost me! I don't feel like the amount of pictures I recieved were worth over 2000 dollars!! and after spending that much I couldn't believe I didn't get a CD with all the pics. All in all I would go back every year to get my girls picture taken, but the price is just too much and not many pictures to show for it. My family has used CMP each year since 2003. Love the work, found both Christine and her assistant photographers and kid wranglers wondeful. Once you visit CMP you have to be careful, you might become addicted like me. Pros: put kids at ease, beautiful product Cons: expensive more

My daughter loved Christine Meeker's style of photography. She spent a great deal of time looking at the senior style section online to decide what she wanted for her session. When we arrived it was a little stormy outside but we were told we could go ahead as planned. While we were outdoors it started to sprinkle. We were rushed around and didn't get all the shots we wanted outdoors. Once inside it appeared that the photographer hadn't looked at the questions my daughter had answered and was coming up with ideas on the spot. I didn't say anything because I trusted her to come up with some amazing shots. We were disappointed in most and when we came in to see the slideshow very surprised at the prices. I felt pressured to purchase more than I had planned. My friend's daughter had also been a few weeks earlier and actually had Christine for her photographer. Her photos were amazing and there were considerably more shots taken. I wasn't told at the time that Christine wouldn't be the photographer. My dilemma now is that my youngest is a senior this year and wants to go back. I am afraid to chance it since this is such a big investment for my family. I think asking your customers to vote for you on a survey is a little pushy as well. I got many emails asking me to vote for Best Photographer in Houston contest. If you are the best, your product will speak for itself through satisfied customers you shouldn't have to prod them for your vote. I wouldn't have given this feedback but after reading your email I felt you appear to be very defensive when you are told you need to improve or that you don't meet someones needs. I wanted you to hear that you have more than one customer who was disappointed. Pros: My daughter enjoyed the photo session. Cons: We were rushed during the session and pricing was high. more

We participated in a Bluebonnett shoot with my twin boys who have Autism. The setting was gorgeous and easy to find. The staff was very friendly and extremely patient with my boys and while I did purchase several pictures and items at the final viewing, the reason why i am not giving a full five star rating is because the poses and props were EXACTLY the same as displayed on their website at the time. Another problem was really the fact the lighting assistant didn't seem to be too knowledgeable. Our faces in every single picture are covered by shadows or in the shade. I would try them again but probably only as a studio shoot where the lighting is more contorlled. Overall, the experience was definitely a positive one but for the price I would have expected more ""flawless"" picture. Christine Meeker has created priceless memories for our family for almost 10 years..from 6 month old pics of my first born to beach pics a few weeks ago of our family of 5..and all the milestones in between. We moved from Katy, TX to Denver this year, but flew back to Houston for our annual photo shoot. This was our third year running. Our trip was well worth it! The pictures, once again, turned out amazingly well. I have 3 and a 5 year old girls, and it is tough to get my older girl to smile a genuine smile. Each year CMP does it brilliantly! Whenever new Denver friends see the photos of the girls they want to book with my photographer - only to be disappointed by the far away location! The girls love going to Christine Meeker and look forward to the shoot. Looking forward to receiving my prints very soon! UPDATE: I just received a gracious response from Mark, the owner, who has rectified most of the problems I had with the original transaction. I appreciate his efforts and cannot help but be impressed by a manager who goes out of his way to act upon a customer's comments. Thank you, Mark. I looked high and low for a baby photographer to take creative pictures of my new daughter at 3 weeks old. I decided on Christine Meeker Photography after emailing the studio to ask about their digital prints policy. I specifically stated my intentions of wanting to purchase a few prints ultimately, but to also purchase all the digital prints (non-print-quality expected) for use in digital scrapbooking. I was told via email that the digital prints could be purchased for a $75 fee, along with the purchase of an 8x10 print. So, my husband, daughter, and I drove the 30 minute trek to Sugar Land from Houston to take our pictures. I was surprised that the photographer had very few pose ideas, and I ended up basically directing the shoot myself. A few weeks later, I was required to drive all the way back out to actually view the proofs (only then was I given a website on which to see them). There were a scant 30 images to choose from -- a pretty small amount, considering I paid for an hour-long shoot! Out of those, only three were of the heirloom bunting I brought and specifically told the photographer I wanted to use for my baby announcements. I ended up having to use one with my baby's hand in front of her face. Finally, the last straw, I was told that I had ""misunderstood"" the pricing structure for digital prints. Apparently, the email I received back from the studio prior to my appointment was ambiguous, as the author intended to say that each SINGLE digital print costs $75 along with the purchase of the SAME print in an 8x10. This is exorbitant, compared to ALL other photographers I researched -- many give clients a full CD of all the photos in non-print quality, just for online use. Needless to say, I was shocked at this and spoke with the manager about it. He offered me the ""compromise"" of two digital prints for the price of one, but I was still unable to get any of the other digitals. In the end, I paid up for creativity that I didn't receive, and only got TWO pictures to hang on my wall or use in my digital scrapbook. Please take my word on this, and avoid Christine Meeker Photography at all costs. They are uncreative price gougers and unprofessional to boot!
