I LOVE CHRIS OWENS 12/10/2008

Well I am from New Orleans borned and raised but two weeks ago moved to Virginia where I attend college. Chris Owens was a every weekend spot for me. I would go to Bourbon and stay in Chris Owens all night. The people that are there are always there and we were like family. The bouncers, the bartenders, and the DJ are very friendly and are apart of my family now. What more can I say beside I LOVE CHRIS OWENS!!!!! more

I like Chris Owens. 6/29/2008

Nex to Jazz Emporium, this is one of the finest establishments in New Orleans. At first, the Club caught my attention because it appeared to be filled with 100 different versions of Lil' Wayne. In addition, upon hearing an agreeable song, a few of the female patrons girated their bottoms at a mesmerizing pace while supporting their body weight on their cheeks and forearms. I liked this. After sitting Indian Style in the street for approximately 13 seconds to soak it all in, I decided to venture inside and purchase a beer. The bartender wasn't friendly ("whiiiiite boy, whachtu want?"), but I didn't mind. I was too busy trying to kiss a man with gold teeth in his mouth. If you like fun, then I suggest you visit this bar. The other reviewers of Chris Owens probably didn't smile and say "I like you" to any of the other guests...hence, the robberies. Keep that in mind. Pros: Great music Cons: Robberies more

Never visit this club 10/2/2007

Myself and my family went on vacation to New Orleans and visited the Chris Owens Club which was the worst thing we could have ever done. As we were leaving the club about 15 to 20 locals from the bar and the bouncer started to follow us out and they jumped my husband, neice and they beat up my nephew until he was unconscious. They robbed my nephew while he was unconscious lying there on Bourbon Street right in front of the Chris Owens Club and other locals from the bar yanked my nieces purse out of her hands. Please do not take the risk of going to this club and letting this happen to you or your family and friends. more

Stay away from this NIght Club !!!! 9/30/2007

This club is dangerous. We were vacationing in New Orleans and my family was attacked by the bouncer and the patrons beat my family up outside of the bar and robbed them. Please do not go to this establishment for your own safety. Cons: Very Dangerous more

Death of A King 11/15/2002

Went to Chris Owens club and saw "Jumbo" the great Al Hert, just a month before his death. Here was one of the greatest living jazz players in the world on a Saturday night and there were a total of 12 paid customers! It felt bad for Hert that the place across the street blaring taped Rolling Stones music was packed with hundreds of college kids trying to see who would get drunk first and the best jazz player alive at the time only drew 12 people. Drinks and service were fine. more

went there recently on my trip to the Big Easy - while the entertainment was interesting the Bar is a ripoff!!!!! Draft & Can Beer prices clealy marked as "$5.00" and the bartender charged us $6.00 each!!!!! Outrageous!!!!! Won't go there again and defintiely do not recommend to anyone. Pros: bright, good music Cons: overpriced beer, lousy bartender more
